They fought the shogunate to restore the Emperor. essentially they were the "New (Shin) Police" kinda like special forces. They rooted out the shoguns spies and killed them on sight. They are beloved in Japan culture and died as martyrs.
@bomboospaghetti41213 жыл бұрын
The shinsengumu was an organization created by legendary warriors of the time nearing the end of the edo period of Japan. They wanted to fight against the shogunate… trying to bring about the maigi era to disband the shogunate and maintain a presence of imperialists in Japan… in the late 1700s the Samaria were destroyed and disbanded due to the new coming era. The shinsengumi practiced assassination and dueling techniques in ryu fighting styles passed down by Kagehisa and kojiro. The history of Japan is truly incredible.

Lol. Hitokiri Battousai was based on Kawagami Gensai. One of the Four great Hitokiri of the Bakumatsu. Himura Kenshin is sadly imaginary.

This is a fiction film action by Bujinkan. Bujinkan's Togakure-ryu is fiction by Takamatsu. When I was a child, my father scolded me when I used kama this way. "Do not use precious tools as toys!" In my village Kama is an ordinary agricultural work tool.
@taihuu25go6 жыл бұрын
Assassination is not the main task of Ninja. It is Ninja only in the fiction world. (Bujinkan's Hatsumi also adored fiction novel Ninja) Also, this is show performance, not Ninjutsu historian Ninjutsu. Many of Ninjutsu historians are only memorandums that the samurai gathered and wrote their miserable memories several decades after the beginning of the Edo period when many mercenaries who were unemployed. So, such historical materials also include unscientific delusion.

Lol @waffledragon they were rice farmers (no joke actual rice farmers) and because they were basically a peasant province they used whatever they could AND WEAPONIZED THE SHIT OUT OF IT
@swoluigi38285 жыл бұрын
Togakure ryu wasn't fiction Your father scolded you because it was an agricultural tool, it was always an agricultural tool. Ninja were farmers originally. Swords were crude and handmade, shuriken were sharpened coins, kama were just farming tools. Fighting was disputed to be one of the least important aspect of a shinobi.
