The moves ncredibly fast left to right. Making it appear that it goes through but, it actually doesn't. Use a slow motion camera and you can pick it up.

What you actuality SEE is it bouncing of the blocker after it went counter clockwise thus completing the illusion due to the bounce being slower than the flip.
