I want to transplant my cannas to another location while it's still warm. Should I cut them off when doing this or plant them as is?
@smallgarden5682Ай бұрын
Hi.I would plant as it is.when you relocate your plant it will loose some leaves when they browns than you can cut those leaves .I sometimes relocate my plant in the mid summer it’s looks very sad but I know next year in new location it will look much better.I hope it was useful.Now one more I’m in zone 8a so I don’t have to dig up my cannas for winter.But in colder zones they do need be digging up and store for winter.Have a wonderful day

I just bought a coral sunset peony. There was one bulb on it when planted, but sadly, it perished. I hope it will prove bountiful next year.
@smallgarden56824 ай бұрын
Don’t be sad.Plants go try shock when they planted .Be patient with peony sometimes they need time to get strong root system.But when they will bloom it will be sweet reward for you.Have a wonderful day

The biggest lavender crape (muskogee) that you planted 7 years ago, how big was it when you bought and planted it in the ground? I just planted a lanky and wimpy one, but I hoping to trim it back next late winter and have it bush out thicker and wider than it is tall after the roots get established. Thanks!

I cut all of my Itoh peonies to the ground and I had at least 25 blooms each. I have listened to several master gardeners who have said to cut to the ground. Those aren't the same buds as the traditional peonies.
