I pretty sure this is not a formal sedan. Formal sedans should not have windows in the rear quarter panels like this one does.

Well, 'pretty sure' isn't good enough. This IS a formal sedan, (center-opening doors), carried over from 1939 and one of a number of formal sedans available in 1941. It is also the car after which Stalin lusted.
