My Sweet Sixteen party was a luncheon at a local nightclub. (They we’re open for lunch on Sat. for such celebrations.) Johnny Ray was the entertainment and at the time he was my favorite. Still have the photo of our table with the guests. Still a warm memory, after all these many decades.

Interviewer: "Hi, what did you think of the show?" John Candy: "Oh, I loved it. I love Perry Como. He's the greatest, he really is. 'Mr Relaxation'. (chuckles) OY!" OY, indeed! I thought he looked wonderfully relaxed and he definitely looked ready to "celebrate" with "fame" and wanted to "bogie" and "survive".

The amount of people in the comment section who don't understand that Stephen Colbert is playing a character is amazing to me. I'm starting to think people don't understand the concept of comedy these days.

just like people didn't understand Gnosticism back then or understand _____ today - even with plenty of "evidence" right in front of them. it's a comedy...just like my username.

You are correct Lots of folks just watch a short clip and shoot from the hip having no idea what they are commenting on. I would like to see a discussion between Colbert in character and Diane Morgans Character Philomena Cunk That would be awesomeness . Colbert and Cunk 🎉

I’m a Pastafarian. I believe in The Flying Spaghetti Monster and his noodley appendage. In my religion the only doctrine is that there is no doctrine. Also, my religion is much more fun than Christianity because in our heaven there is a stripper factory and a beer volcano.
