Hey man, so I know you’re saying yellow to the harness side. But there’s like 5 wires in the harness side. Does the yellow wire get soldered to all the harness side wires? Or just one of them? 11:18

so, there are 2 different plugs, the plug that has only 1 wire going to it that is the one you need to hook up the relay to.

Evo fuel pump utilize dual voltage power, if using this hardwire setup wont this cause fuel overrun that will cause the engine to run rich on low fuel demand.
@cornfedevo87 Жыл бұрын
No, that factory wiring setup for the fuel pump will lose voltage under full boost having this kit will continue to keep 14v under boost and normal driving. Losing voltage at the fuel pump can cause lean conditions and nobody wants that.

Any concerns on the amps the factory harness power cable can handle?
@cameronbasford89913 ай бұрын
Curious to know also. The blade fuse on my evo 8 melted which leads me to believe the wire size is too small.
@AntonioGabriele-rp1sm Жыл бұрын
Question, So the purpose of the hardwire kit is for the pump to get the full 12V and not get voltage drop and also to stop the pump from continuously running? . Then that yellow wire that runs from the relay, you solder on to the other end of that red cable that is in that top connector of the fuel pump cradle correct?. If so that end would be powering the pump via factory harness which is spliced into the fuel pump main power plug which is the other end of that red cable you cut from that connector on the passenger side.
@cornfedevo87 Жыл бұрын
the red power wire is connected to the positive terminal on the battery. Then from the relay to the harness of the car to get that power from the battery. The fuse is there so if something were to happen the fuse would pop 1st and that's a easy fix. Let me know if you have any other questions

Hey brother. I’m having issues with my Evo. That being, it’s experiencing some fuel cut. The FPR is set to 3bar (43.5 psi). I believe it’s because of my current rewire kit, Deatschwerks universal rewire kit. I drilled out the siphon tube and noticed I can adjust my FPR a lot better, but yet still getting fuel cut. I have a Walbro 450 and on E. I am thinking about buying your rewire kit because I’ve heard mixed things about my current DW kit. What do you think?

Hey do you leave the driveshaft connected the whole time to the transmission case ?
@cornfedevo872 жыл бұрын
There are 2 different ways to drop the trans and t-case. The way I was doing it is leaving the subframe in place and pushing the t-case to the side. Doing it this way you leave the drive shaft in the t-case and just push it to the passenger side of the car. And you can slowly drop the trans.

Is there a specific connector you run on the air hose to get constant air to push the valves up and what psi is the compressor

You can use a compression tester hose with a adapter to a air hose or like I did just use the air hose it self. And I use about 50/60 psi to keep the valves shut.

@cornfedevo873 жыл бұрын
Yes Absolutely the r8 ignition coils have more energy over the stock style coils! That being said you will get less spark blow out on a turbo application and will gain power/torque and improve gas mileage. All 3 things that will not only put a smile on your face but in the long run help improve engines performance.
