Look: The American Indians fought viciously against the French, Spanish, and British for years. They raped, tortured, and scalped thousands of people. It was a real war. So let’s be honest: when you lose a war, you can’t cry about it. The Indians had no written language, or guns, or horses, or anything. They were savages. We were entirely within our rights to clear them out so that the land could be civilized. Nobody wants to live in a teepee. The Indians are just a bunch of welfare cheats. They claim victimhood on order to avoid working. And what’s worse is that they politically conspire to destroy the country. As far as I’m concerned the Indians have worn out their welcome. We have no reason to tolerate a bunch of vicious thugs who only want to kill us. Game over.

Justice pertains to three parties; the victim, the wrongdoer, and society. Restitution serves justice for the victim. Redress serves justice for the wrongdoer. And rehabilitation serves justice for society. There is no room for retribution or revenge in justice.

Weak theory. Bad analogies. Not even practical. Mixing bunch of stuff. Others are using his book to "compare" (not compete ) the Holocaust with the Palestinian suffering. That's unethical to say the least. Comparing the Palestinian suffering to Jewish sufferings and comparing Israelies to nazis, either as perpetrators or perpetuaters. Pff rubbish! Discarding real facts like Palestinians leadership and Muslims supported the nazis to oppose the Brits. No Muslim guilt? Racial Laws in the Palestinian territories condemn by death penalties the sale of property to Jews til now. Me too movement example pff as well come on.

Michael Rothberg should stop calling Jews "white". There are a lot of peer reviewed studies about Jewish DNA.

whiteness is nota matter of DNA, race is a socio-historical category, not a biological one (unless you're a nazi). ashkenazi jews are counted and perceived as white in the US, there is a lot of historical work on that shift from their position in European and central Asian societies. to understand this, you can read, for example, Eric L. Goldstein's "The Price of Whiteness". however, yes, Rothberg could pay more attention to the fact that Jews are not white in Europe, but there is an argument to be made about the historical shift in the Jewish population's status with regards to race. Maybe familiarize yourself with theories of race and racism if you're interested in these questions.
