hi, so ive bought the elite battery strap because I use my oculus for pcvr only due to limited space but it still deplites battery very quickly, my pc simply doesnt give enough power, so I was wondering if I could use one of these splitters or something similar to plug in my link cable and my battery stap at the same time. I have read through the comments but my pc simply doesnt give the power required to do it. im on a quest 2

Question. I downloaded a 3d Movie ISO file online. When I open the file in MakeMKV on the left after I click on the dropdown arrow where you state that I have to click the check box labeled "Video Mpegs4-MVC-3D", mine doesn't say that. It says "Mpeg4 MVC [email protected]/[email protected]". That's the only option and it's definitely a 3D file because I tested on a video player that can play 3D ISO files. Do you have any suggestions or reasons why mine says something different? TY

Yeah I think it doesn't always say "3D". I have recently experienced this. Might also just be an updated behavior of the current version of MakeMKV.

Changing resolution doesn't do anything for me. It says resolution is changed to X but I see no difference in menus home screens or apps. What am I doing wrong?

Go to the last page and click on restart home environment if you want to apply the resolution change to your home environment.

I originally had it set up this way but I ran into complications. I can't remember what the specifics however as to why it didn't work correctly. Maybe I will visit this again. Are you using Kiosk mode?

In your bat file I see 45mbps bitrate ... Is that the bitrate you found to be the optimal (max possible) in combi with the other settings like res and fps?

You could probably go even lower, maybe 35? I just figured 45 was safe. It's probably overkill. I've not done extensive testing with it.

If I want to capture in 16:9 on the Quest3 ... What is the best way to do it? I would like to capture it directly in 16:9 instead of 1:1 and then ffmpeg crop to 16:9

You can only capture in 16:9 on the Quest in 2D. But if you set it to capture both eyes, it always captures in 1:1 per eye, regardless of the resolution you set.

Man, I could not find anyone with the same problem. Whenever I would try to move my left joystick forward, my character would slowly move forward and stop unless I held the joystick button down really hard. Thank you for the help, I will test it right now and update this comment in an hour

I'm pretty sure you can do it from an Android phone you would have to look up how to do it with side quest. I don't have a tutorial however. But sidequest should have a tutorial on how to hook your Android phone up to your quest. Then just issue the command "adb tcpip 5555" using sidequest on your phone to your quest after installing this application the ocular migraine. Then launch the ocular migraine and take it from there. Let me know if you have success.

I get some double vision issues when doing this. Like the image in both the right and left lenses are offset differently. And when I look around the FOV gets all wonky. This is only on some shaders (the main ones I want to try). Other shaders work out the box.

try disabling DoF and Motion Blur. I have found for me those both cause issues. LMK if that works for you or not and also which shaders you are having the issue with.

The two screens side by side? Yeah, that's how it should look. You need a player that will play it back in 3D. On the Quest you can use SkyBoxVR, or Pigasus VR and set it to SBS (side by side) and it will show up in 3D. You may have to adjust the aspect ratio to 1:1, which Pigasus VR media player can do. So I would recommend that one, if you're wanting to watch these on your Quest.

If you disable the IR blocker on the quest headset you don't need a very powerful infrared light. There is actually a built in IR blocker You have to disable On your headset If you want a true night vision Experience

Dude, you're an absolute legend!! I'm a 53 year old C64 owner from the UK - I've still got my original from 1982(ish)... I don't switch it on as it's too fragile.... This app is truly amazing...
