Try launching your truck from 2nd gear. Im noticing that's the perfered launch gear from a stop sign/light as I drive mine more and more. I'm still in break in period and don't go past around 5k rpm yet, and havent done 0-60 yet. In sport mode mine wants to scoot before tune which i ordered and coming soon. Mind you im between 50 and 600 ft elevation here in the northeast. Altitude really strangles engines.

Getting my RR built next month and was thinking of getting this tune. I could care less about o-60 and 1/4 mile times. How has it changed as your daily driver (better, worst, no change...except now needing the 91+ octane fuel)? I have an F150 Raptor right now and i am wondering does the tune elevate it to that feel in terms of engine output? Thanks
@chrisdrinerАй бұрын
Best I have seen was 5.38 from a few people on KZbin., Also were you running 93 octane as they has been a difference in better times for people.

Thanks for the info! Can you give me a bit more info about boost levels? I'm not seeing the numbers you are so I'm curious what boost you see at say 3k RPM then again at 6k RPM? Thank you

Thanks for the review. Did you try it in Sport 2H or Baja 2H or 4A? I’m wondering if those modes make a difference 0-60.

I would consider anything with a front and rear locker capable of rock crawling. For a stock vehicle, this will go further than most.

Did you have a Gen 3 Raptor before? I am in CO and am really on the fence of a full size or RR with my family of 4. I think there are times I’d love the size of the 150 but it might be too big!
@RichieGarage6 ай бұрын
I had a gen2 Raptor before this and I live in boulder county so parking that rig was almost always a pain in the ass. If you don't have to deal with Urban areas the F150 is has a massive back seat which I do miss. Off roading in the F150 Raptor in Colorado was always a difficult task as well with how wide it was. I am much happier with the size of this truck on the CO trails since almost everything is set up for Jeeps and vehicles with tight wheel bases. I will be getting more creative with space like adding a topper and a roof rack most likely to accommodate the dog and kid.

poor mans raptor. don't buy this shiet
@RichieGarage6 ай бұрын
I’ve owned both, the RR has its place in the lineup. For people that don't live near a desert and have to park in urban areas often and do more off-roading on tight mountain passes this truck is as good as it gets currently from the factory.

Beautiful truck! I have one on order, same color but I got the beadlock capable wheels. The only thing that concerns me is built quality issues I'm hearing about. Interior rattles, misaligned body panels/panels gaps, and or course the leather on the driver's seat stretching out immediately. Have you noticed any of that?
@RichieGarage6 ай бұрын
I think you will be very happy with it. The only qc issue I've noticed is the drivers door has to be closed harder than the other doors to create a proper seal. Not sure why but I'm hoping it breaks in and goes away. not a major issue but it's noticible. The leather did seem loose when it was brand new but seems to be breaking in and not noticeable anymore. Panel gaps are pretty standard Ford. Nothing to the point where it' 's noticible naked eye but it is not even close to as tight as the wifes BMW.

@@RichieGarage Thanks man that's reassuring. And yeah I'm excited. I just ordered it about a month ago so I'm figuring it will be early next year before it comes in. And I ordered it from a small family owned dealership so no greedy dealer markups! Paying MSRP 👍🏻

In Australia there are full skid plate options from the aftermarket... and those trailing arm sensors there are steel covers you can get for them... the Raptor here has a really large aftermarket range..I have a steel front bumper with a winch, full bash plates, sensor protection and much more and it's incredible... towed a 2 ton offroad camper across Australia and back and never missed a beat...engine and gearbox temps never got high across the Nullarbor plain...
@RichieGarage6 ай бұрын
I’m sure the aftermarket here in the States will have products available soon. RCI off-road is a local company to me that makes a fantastic range of skid plates so i’m waiting for them to release something soon. What company makes the bumper you are running?

When you do an order, do the dealers still do BS markups? I’m in CO too, it sure what dealer you went with. Truck is a beaut. Congrats!
@RichieGarage6 ай бұрын
Thanks, boss. I had to order from an out-of-state dealer as every dealer I called in CO wanted at least 10k over MSRP. I ended up getting a rebate and paying 1k under MSRP all said and done. You can find them at cost, you may have to spend a long time on the phone and be willing to travel. The other issue at the moment is dealers are limited on allocations of Ranger Raptors. Dealers will be getting more so I would just keep calling around if you want one.

Thank you! I think where you live plays a big role as well. I loved my F150 Raptor when I lived in Virginia. Colorado has tighter trail systems and I the parking situation around the Front Range was always tight with the F150. This truck is so much fun to drive. You will love it.
