Short summary : ( doesn't cover everything in the video) 1.Fusion/ hybrid imaging - displays stored CT/ MRI images alongside the Ultrasound images for better understanding 2. Intravascular ultrasound imaging - A very small probe is inserted into the vessel to provide a 360 degree view for 2D assessment of plaque or stenosis 3- Tissue doppler imaging - for cardiac imaging 4- MSK USG - 90 degree is preferred, anisotropy is the M/c artifact associated with it. 5- High intensity focused ultrasound/ Focused ultrasound - MRI guided HIFU is used for its bioeffects ( thermal and mechanical). Not used for imaging but used for therapeutic, cosmetic, anticancer therapy, treating neurological conditions, also used to have surgery without cutting. 6. Cine clips - saves images eg - last 3 secs of live imaging. Used in echo to show motion of heart, certain pathologies etc 7. Sweep speed - used when you are using M mode or Spectral doppler. As you increase or decrease it more or less spectral phases will be displayed simultaneously.

Thanks for excellent explanations. I want to be clear about Depth measurement in Axial plane. Our transducer is laterally on the body, but since we are cutting actual spleen in a different orientation from actual longitudinal spleen, in fact now we are viewing actual depth from superficial to deep, therefore under transducer is superficial part of spleen(anterior) and opposite to it is deep part of spleen (posterior)so should not we measure it vertical on screen(image)?

I highly recommend watching Sononerds! I'm a graduating sonography student and watched all 25 videos in the playlist. The only resources I used were these videos, her workbook (no longer available), and the green Edelman book. I passed my SPI with a score of 667! Good luck everyone, M is a great instructor!

Ive had a couple scrotal ultrasounds and feel female ultrasound techs dont go to ANY lengths to drape ....a small washcloth to hold the penis is a charade to give the illusion of modesty -- the man is pretty much fully exposed. If a male tech did the same thing to a female patient there would be complaints..... the patient should be draped with a sheet and the tech work under the sheet - if they cant find the scrotum they need to get another job
