@@JamieParksDrums yeah man it's iconic. Unfortunately OCDP drums don't really exist in Australia so the opportunity never arises. I recall seeing a kit in the early 2000's at a drum shop in Sydney; I still wonder where that kit ended up haha.

The best way to build speed is just practising single stroke rolls. Use a metronome and set it to a speed which is pushing you slightly but you’re still able to make it sound consistent. Keep going with that and you will start to get faster.
