The etching cream only takes 5 to 6 mins to work rubbing cream works well too

I tried acrylic paint first but it didn't work. It doesn't stick and isn't as vibrant.

I have tried so many shears and little saws. I find what you're doing is incredibly hard! I have torn up so many pinecones. Let us know if you have found anything better for 2024, going on 2025.

I'm sorry you're not having good luck with the shears. The only other thing I've used is a band saw. It works great, but it's an expensive option for people who don't have one.

Remember, when you make the screenshot, that the piece you're capturing is changed to "print then cut". That eliminates the "cut" border and will give you a much cleaner image to screenshot.

I find that if you tape off the top, sides and bottom of stencil before you etch, it is less likely to have the etch liquid from air-drifting and ruining your surface with foggy blotches you cannot remove.. You should also wear gloves and do in a well-ventilated space as it can ruin your lungs if breathed in.

Questions: Leaving the etching cream on for that long, is that what keeps the paint in the etched areas? I have tried a process but the etch cream did not stay on for 25 minutes, and the paint come off. How long is the paint suppose to stay on before taking it off and is it permanent? I am experimenting at the moment, but should they be used to sell, it has to be lasting. Definetly going to try again. I would appreciate your feedback. Thank you

I was trying to make a SVG to cut out on my laser (I am a newbie to laser cutting) and couldn't get the letters to flow to cut out as one word instead of cutting out each letter individually, this was super helpful. Yes! I've actually given them as gifts. Once it's empty, it can be hand washed.
