Thankyou for reply do u have any idea why it is seeping from the clutch arm
@yrornoswal10 ай бұрын
Yes. There is a small seal there. They take a hammering from dirt that lies on top of the seal during clutch movement.
@yrornoswal10 ай бұрын
Hi Jack. I am not sure. Most bikes have different mounting methods. If I was in your position I would disconnect the clutch cable and try to remove it like this. You have nothing to lose. Either it comes out or worst case it does not. Sorry I can not help you more.

Can i remove this actuator arm on a pitbike(the same way) i have oil seeping from the actuator arm where it goes into the casing and was wondering if it will work on a pitbike

Dont use on parts that seal things where fuel passes, would just eat up the glue

Nice video! I have a problem, my actuator arm won’t fit back in, i tryed turning it but it won’t fit.. does anyone know what could it be? Or what should I do?
@yrornoswal Жыл бұрын
If you are sitting facing the clutch side cover, make sure the arm head where the cable goes in is pointing to your left shoulder. Push the shaft (actuating arm) down and start rotating it clockwise until it gets to it's normal position. If this does not work pls send me a video of where it is getting stuck so that I can figure out what is wrong for you. I will video me inserting one tomorrow and send it to you. Good luck.

Superglue does in fact cure in the presence of water eg. moisture in the air.
@yrornoswal3 жыл бұрын
That is what I was trying to say. It is the absence of air that cures it. Hence it cures faster in water as there is no air there. I think we are both saying the same thing.
@johnfrizza6813 жыл бұрын
@@yrornoswal No, sorry, it's not the lack of air (that would be anaerobic curing - which superglue is not) but rather water which cures it. Thats why when you stick it into water it accelerates the cure. But don't believe me - google isocyanate glues and how they cure. An informative and practical video BTW.

You are correct. Since liquid won't compress, you are only compressing the volume of air space left above the oil. You have a much lower total volume of air under pressure that way. (Smaller bomb). Think about it this way, would you rather have a tiny little road bicycle tire pop at 100psi while you stand beside it filling it up, or a semi-truck tire going off next to you at 100psi....? One will scare you, the other could potentially kill you. Since the oil is below the air on a KLR650 when the seal pops out of the top of the fork leg, the air escapes first, a stream of oil is never going to come shooting out the top of the fork leg under pressure. Carry on.
@yrornoswal5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Pete. Confirmed my train of thought on this idea. By the way like your handle (WheeliePete). Mine should be WheelieRory. Can't ride with both wheels on the ground. I made a set of stickers for my forks yesterday that say "This way Up" with an arrow pointing up. Cheers

Beautiful Rory, a real step into yesteryear :-) I must admit that on a lazy Saturday in SA I'm not convinced the latest and greatest bike brings the biggest smile factor, these machines can truly still be appreciated. Please keep resurrecting these classics to be enjoyed the way they were designed for. May you be blessed with continued ability.
