stupid design to have the kicker on same side as driver. and other manufactures do the same with the batteries. because they are too lazy to run 4 more feet of wire. if you are riding solo boat is un balanced with kicker and operator on same side

I am installing a Reactor 40 on a T8 Yamaha on my 18'6" Northriver Seahawk. Been working on it for several days, few hours a day getting it right. Had to order two additional cables and a "t" for the NEMA 2000 network. Have all of the electronics finished wired up clean to spec. The hardest part was installing the stainless steel tilt tube on the motor. The original didn't want to come off, but lots of PB Blaster, heat and patience along with a sledge hammer LOL I got it off. In the process I ruined the original 22mm nuts that secure the tube to the motor bracket, then attempted to install them on the new tilt tube, messing up the threads on the tube. You don't want the threads messed up when installing the Reactor steering actuator. I had to get another SS tilt tube and two new 22mm nuts which was a cost of $130. Live and learn. Still beating the cost of the shop by a long ways installing and I know I am doing it the right way, the way I want it. Just waiting for the nuts then I can complete the install and get the system calibrated.

Another great video brother, I’m from south FL and have been looking to get into a pilot house in the future. Curious to know what your favorite one is out of the Raider offshore, kingfisher, Duckworth and the North River?
@ymarinaboats
@ymarinaboats Ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! I am a little biased based on the fact that we carry both the North River and Duckworth product, and I have less experience with the other two brands on the water. Both the North River and Duckworth are excellent riding hulls, a and have sturdy and reliable design. Interior layouts, trimmings and finishes are the major differences, and that is really a personal preference. But again, the quality and the ride of both product are excellent.

After driving the 21 Discovery with the 250 HP Yamaha shown in this video, is 250 HP too much, or just right with say 4 large adults, fully fueled and a couple large coolers?

Unsafe: (1) relying on tm to get out of the way of the large boat; (2) leaving the big engine in gear while you walk forward to stow the tm. (3) not attaching the safety lanyard to your clothing. (4) fooling with the graph while running fast.

I had a ‘97 Amlumaweld Formula Vee. The welds on that thing were amazing! It even came with a signed document from each person involved in the build. I sold that boat, because I always dreamt about owning a North River. Well, now I do, and I can tell you the welds, though are structurally fine, aren’t even in the same realm of beauty as my ‘97 Alumaweld!

A boat's trailer hubs should be replaced every 7000 to 10000 miles. If well cared for, with fresh geese every trip hubs may last up to 27 thousand miles before failure, a novias boater experience.

Hi, I recently got the same boat and there’s no battery connected to it, I’m having issues understanding what cables for the electrical goes on the deep cycle and which ones on the started battery. Is there any way to get this info online for the 1994 seaswirl striped 192

i love the C-dory series. Everyone seems to want to make 'luxury' boats that can seat 4-6 people C-Dory's are generally 4 people though. They aren't as prim and proper as the ranger series.. but that makes it lighter and more afordable In truth though i wish the smaller C-dories had pump out toilets. Locally its illegal to run without a dark water tank. to many people were just dumping portapotties overboard. Ranger 23's start at 150k Cdory 23's at 125k. And in reality the only thing the ranger does better is the bathroom. Though in reality i wouldn't mind to see a smaller boat, like a C-dory 16, rigged out with a small blackwater tank fresh water tank, and little bath, maybe even a wetbath. fully enclosed cockpit, with heat, and MAYBE an AC option. Small birth and storage area to sleep 1 person. A small single or 2 person cruiser... boat, for going camping in, solo fishing trips in, solo trips for a few days on end... a boat for the "single person" who's retired... Small enough to handle alone. and another kicker is small enough that it won't bankrupt you ever time you put to dock. most slips charge by the foot, but some will run you 3-5 dollars per foot. so the difference between a 16' and a 26' for 1 night is 50 dollars... (yep that encourages you to not use the marinas but sometimes you need one for things like shopping, pump out, refueling and laundry... so...)
