The BMC Farina's were the ultimate banger racers, Cheap to buy and prep, Hard as nails and just kept going! Who doesn't love a Westminster with it's lovely, Knarly straight 6 motor!👍A great video @BARRY EATON, I really enjoyed it.

Fun fact: track guys removing lost small tyres from vans around track during race , but have big tractor tyres on dirt around track and vans run over it .

there are heat races, follow by the final and end with the DD last car running. the 1st driver complete the laps like 12 laps for heats and 20 laps in final. there is two types of drivers rodders and wreckers. rodders are for winning races and win championships. wreckers are for wrecking cars and try to stop the leaders from winning.

Sods law with filming any racing innit, you can get every single minor spin and bump in shot and frame it nicely, but when they fly through the air or do a big rollover, it's always out of shot lol T'was ever thus

Werent much of an issue in some meets i guess, suppose back then we had balls of steel. last time it were allowed was when a guy nearly got ran over at arena i think.

@jeje22-_-moldova someone got hit and died in front of a huge crowd at hednesford so that put a stop to it And tbh its way braver to stay strapped in during the race. Too many stoppages these days are scaredy cats putting their thumbs down after the lightest tap

That's the thing with short oval hot rod racing. You never really get the chance to pass anyone, who, like you, is keeping it tight to the inner circle. With things like NasCar, there is a longer straight but with this , there is no chance. You just have to hope that the guy in front makes a mistake. Also, in modern day banger racing, nobody seems to race to win anymore. They just want to smash up their cars. Makes no sense.

Ninja Karts are new to me! You have some pure gems on your channel. All the other, mainly banger racing videos I watch were made last week. This is nostalgia indeed! Superstox as I remember them, never had a huge wing on the roof or V8s. I can't quite work out what is said, but the early model stock cars in the 2nd race and later, are so cool. I couldl watch those all day.

Very cool vid, I was steering the allegro estate around. Griff built so I bought 3 dizzy caps with me. Returned it at a Wimbo rookie meet and the a series engine locked up, in the bin it went. Think it was 1st fwd at an amble so an unpopular choice but still a very rare banger to this day. Roof fin lives on, will be on my focus at the lake 17th November 24
