Thank you for posting this video. I foster cats for my local animal shelter. Last year was the first time I had Maincoon mixed kittens in my care, No one told me about shaving their arm pits, but the girl was having daily problems with the starting of tiny mats, I shaved her pits! I thought I might be the only person I know who went that far to care for their fur-babies. I have to agree 100% with the "gental giant" description of the Maincoon breed. My two fosters were mixed, born to a DSH feral mother, fathered by an escapee purebred boy. The sweetest cats anyone could hope for. Both were adopted from our shelter in just 3 days.

Any time one of my animals has an injury, I always trim back the hair in the area so it is easier to keep clean and dry, and can be monitored more easily.

I love this I used to show cats & dogs my last cat a Persian, who wasn’t a show cat I would take her to the grommets every 3 months & get her shaved down. I didn’t get until she was 6 months so don’t like to be brushed or bathed so I just let the groomer deal with it and they did an amazing job.

Please do! How much should we charge be hour.

This is a most lovely, loving, informative, presentation. I loved and still love my long-haired cat that was a stray/rescue many years ago~~and had to put her down 21 April 2024. I wish I had this young lady to groom my Muffin. What a great job she did. I loved the way she described everything she was doing and why. Thank you for this sweet video.
