What camera did you use? Looks like the photos/video came out well. We are looking at doing this trip in a couple weeks, any idea what temps / weather we can expect that time of year?

The video camera was just my iPhone camera. The stills are a Nikon D200. We went early in the season so nothing was really growing yet. I would really like to go back during the summer because there were lots of rivers and pools along the way that would lend themselves to a nice dip.

Thanks John, what time Of the year was your trip? I worried if first week of July would be too early in the season.

Looks like fun! I did the loop 4/2011 in 2 days including driving from Memphis! It was too fast, but 2 days is all I had before work started again. It was a lot of fun.. really nice place. 3 days is definitely better - lots of cool stuff to see. The Ouachias are nice, but I'm still partial to the western NC mountains :) Keep on 'packin :)
