I don't know... 20 Minutes is too much of a stretch for me and too much in my opinion. Plus I moved on to a new Channel for gaming: Kami_GameFan. One of my absolute favorites in the game so far. However, I highly prefer its title being "Yuna's Determination". "Decision" doesn't encapsulate what she has already gone through at this point. Despite the hardships, she presses forward. Strong and DETERMINED.

In seriousness, her accent in russian seems funny at first, but in fact she speaks quite well comparatively, especially considering how hard it is for the Japanese to pronounce some of our sounds. I see that the main problem here is the soft consonants and intonations. But it's not a bad performance from the va at all.

As russian, I can say that the version of the scream that sounds in English is MUCH more realistic and similar to how a Russian girl would react to something like that. Our girl would also have covered him with a lot of obscenities x)).

Every time i hear her speak russian in the jp I have to take a break for a couple minutes because of how unnatural it sounds. I never really watch anime with English dub but it's actually preferable with this anime specifically because of the russian parts as they are the entire gimmick of the show

При уважении к английской актрисе озвучки, но в немецком дубляже звучит лучше, как минимум крик на том же уровне, а так же фразы точь в точь как в оригинале. А так голос Сумире очень подходит и говорит на русском она хорошо не говоря уж о том, что Аля не единственный говорящий на русском персонаж.

@@ElricSowrdI'll have to check the difference between dub and sub, often do I see the clear difference due to clear contrast culture and perspective on fiction. Anime with Japanese people feel right because anime has been defined as exaggerations, at least that's most of possibly.. early 2000s to present popular animes, if I could recall. If there is one thing I could say personally to me, I'll take the dub because Russian is actually depicted as Russian, and nothing against the Japanese VA, intriguing to see her interest in Russian themes. Also, I know the difference is about dub and sub here, though Crunchyroll being sketchy is surely not a clear cut on your take of dub being inferior, whatever your conclusion is on the matter, I just see Japanese VAs have more experience with anime themes than other VAs usually because.. well.. this English dub of VA may not have the "effort in screams", actually spoke Russian in an objectively proper depiction.

No offence, but honestly most English dubs I've heard sound very unrealistic, specially when it comes to anime series. I don't know why, but sometimes i think they over act and sounds very artificial.

They do overact and they’re directed to do so. Couldn’t tell you why. Part of it is how restrictive the dubbing process is, for sure.

I don't know how to explain it well, but the best way I can describe why English dubs sound unnatural/artificial is that they sound very... commercial English. Like, they speak in a very phonetically safe, rounded, and squeaky-clean way, much like narrators in ads, or characters in language education audios. Legit, I've compared anime dubs, with school English audios, and they sound so similar. Sounds like they're not allowed to play with words; either the don't want the actors' accents to slip and make international distribution confusing for Brits, Aussies, or they just think foreign products *cannot* be voice acted the same way as US animated shows are regardless of genre. There are, in fact, some people that say the latter explicitly I don't think the dubbing industry is racist (that's a big accusation). But why must anime have worse acting? There are a few anime dubs that actually sound natural and like US animated shows. Also, people often blame the lyp synch. But I blame the localisation. If companies weren't obsessed with syllable counts, maybe the actors could have more freedom with their performances
