"15 Big once" is not only the worst a!bum by The Beach Boys, it's the worst album in music history. A nice honest opinion by you regarding each album's chart placings, but I have to disagree with you with "Surfs Up", "Holland", and "BBs Today" in my opinion they should be 3, 4, & 5, respectively.

When the AI computer says it likes a certain song it sounds ridiculous. A computer can’t talk you if a song is good. I hate AI voices!!!! Why not get a human being to read the script? I’d rather have an unprofessional narrator than a computer voice. Come on. Get rid of that awful AI voice!!! I stopped watching this video because of AI.

Considering how godawful cRap/hippityhop is Smart Girls is pure brilliance. Crrap aka hippityhopscotch is 💩, hippphawp destroyed quality music & the industry became the glamorization of "gang life"... I rec'mend the album ganglife by FFF. 👍🏻

Very nice video, congratulations! In my own opinion "The Doors" is absolutely the best, without any doubt. There's a huge difference between it and the others, Strange days included. I'm sorry but I never liked LA Woman, it's without energy, If it were made at the beginning it would have been great. My score is: 1. The doors 2. Strange days 3. Waiting for the sun 4. Morrison Hotel 5. LA Woman 6. The soft parade

surfin' safari is what it sounds like : a bunch of kids. the beach boys were never a garage band. they were a living room band. surfin' usa is a HUGE improvement; a giant leap forward. the lonely sea is one of my all time favorite songs. the first glimpse we get of bw's more melancholy side. to me surfer girl, little Deuce Coupe, shut down volume 2, all summer long, Christmas album, TODAY! (my all time favorite album by ANYONE), summer days/nights, pet sounds, SMiLE! sessions, smiley smile (in the 70's this album was my favorite album by anyone of the previous decade, then i heard TODAY! and the doors's debut), wild honey, friends and 20/20 are all classic albums. i don't really count party! as a studio album. i could live without it. i like most of sunflower. i like much of surf's up. i really can't get into much of carl/passions and holland. i appreciate them more than i actually enjoy them. Mount Vernon and Fairway however is amazing. 15 big ones is/was a HUGE disappointment. the bb recorded it under duress. their label was threatening to sue them for not meeting the obligations of their contract. they owed the label two more records.they went into the studio and attempted to record two albums at once. they were going to record one album of covers and one album of new material, but the clock was ticking and they were running out of time. so they presented what they had recorded thus far as one album to buy them more time. this album should have been either all covers or all new material, not a mash-up. around this time they also recorded their second Christmas album hoping that would fullfill their contract, but the label rejected it. they did not want a Christmas album. it would take decades for this material /their second Christmas album to finally be released. LOVE YOU is my favorite album of the 70's. it is their last truly great, classic album. it was the last time they attempted to move forward. originally love you was to be a solo brian album called brian loves you. special note should be made of nearly every member of the band walked out during love you's recording process not knowing what to make of what brian was doing; dennis and carl MAY have hung around the studio more than the others. after this the bb stopped even atempting to move forward. mike love seized control of the band. they then proceeded to attempt and failed to regain their former, early era glory. i wish they had retired the BB name or retiring from recording after love you. the beach boys are my all time favorite band, but i do not listen to any of their post 1977 love you albums. even bruce says they sound like old men on MIU. l.a. light album has a very few good songs, but everything else post-love you i just wish would cease to exist. still crusin' to me isn't a studio album; just a compilation with left overs. That's Why God Made the Radio is a pretty good reunion album. check out brian's unreleased albums sweet insanity and adult/child and brian and dennis's the cocaine sessions aka the hamburger sessions.

I’m a diehard Beach Boy fan since 1979. One thing I really don’t understand is the appeal and love for The Beach Boys Love You album. I remember it being the only Beach Boy album I would consistently see in almost every bargain bin and cut out bin in record and department stores. I thought it was poorly produced (sorry Brian) and the songs unremarkable and forgettable. I always had a hard time getting through it. Of course, that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.
@paladin1726Ай бұрын
I think Love You is so popular because Beach Boys smart fans say it's a great album. These are the same people that think Solar System and Ding Dang are amazing. To me the lyrics are substandard for Brian, the synth is overused, and his voice is shot, and not the voice we've all fallen in love with. The only song I like on that album is Good Time, because it was recorded before Brian's voice was compromised, if you will. The Night was So Young and Let Us Go On This Way are two very average songs and way overrated. If it was anybody else who made these songs, nobody would listen to them. This is the quintessential Brian Apologist album. In truth, Brian was by far at his best before Love You. Synth is not the best thing to ever happen to a song.

This list tells me that the dude making this doesn't like the Beach Boys surf-era hits. How Today is so far below Pet Sounds is really weird to me considering the #1 ranking of Pet Sounds. If you love Pet Sounds, how do you not also love Today? Their second worst album has Surfin Safari, 409, Surfin, Cuckoo Clock, Moon Dog and The Shift? And another of their worst albums includes Surfin USA, Stoked, Noble, Shut Down, Farmers Daughter, and Lonely Sea? It makes me wonder what on earth someone likes about the Beach Boys when that lineup is shit on. You have to hate Brian's voice if you don't like Farmer's Daughter and Lonely Sea, and then I'd ask, why do you like the Beach Boys at all? Terrible list.

i have to agree on every single album and detail you maike here on the BB album ranking. I too ( aside from the Beatles) love the Beach boys and have since 1970 when i was a little kid. Cant beleive we have exactly the very same ranking ( i did one over a decade over ) . Smile like you is still an enigma wrapped in a riddle to me and i just wish they could have released it say a year later in 1968 when by then, wierd and unusual WAS the norm.... But there are certain tracks like surfs up that are perhaps some of the greatest songs ever written in popular music which makes this unreleased SMILE lp a real charmer for me . Yes, we did get it finally but 40 years too late and the bud was off that rose except for diehard fans like us which is a shame since every hippy and musicologist in the late 60's should have had the chance to endear it like we did recently. Oh well. Again, thank you for a great review and perhaps you can do one on Mccartney and/ or WINGS as well as Pink Floyd. ps. GOD ONLY KNOWS is i think also a perfect most beautiful song ever. Long and Winding Road by Paul and Beatles is amazing too and look forward to your opinion on those guys. I just found out that Love You album 1977 was meant to be a Brian Wilson solo album and HE wrote it all pretty much .... which was 3 full years before mccartney two album from 1980 starting off the entire new wave era ( not completly but a lot if i remember correctly...)

The reason why they call Smile "a Brian Wilson solo album" is because it literally was: Brian Wilson Presents: SMiLE, a rerecording/reconstruction of the Smile album with finished lyrics from Brian and Van Dyke Parks, and the participation of Brian's live band, was released in 2004, and The Smile Sessions was released in 2011 based on the song sequence and mixes of BWPS. You seem to have mixed up the two.
