What's the point of putting your legs in a triangle?
@bushidobjj5 жыл бұрын
This was filmed about 11 years ago so things of changed a little since then. At the time we felt the triangle of the legs made it tighter. And sometimes it does but there are other alternatives that also work.

I am all for being flashy but if you have the cross lapel grip that deep why not just do a “regular” clock choke? If your opponent turtles that tight he is basically giving it to you.
@guest00465 жыл бұрын
You can use this if you have the good grip, but the guy defends by pulling your sleeve. You have good leverage with your whole back and pushing with your knee aswell

Very nice set up for a collar choke, but it has no similarities to a Clock Choke apart from the initial position which is the same as used for starting a Clock Choke and that's where it ends. As for the Judokas out there trying to make little of it, how about recognizing and applauding the ability of BJJ practitioners to create and develop set ups to all manner of finishes from a huge variety of positions.
@VPolecat7 жыл бұрын
how about recognizing that before BJJ there was something else and therefore it is likely that those "creations & developments" are not that new. This move is shown in a video ("Fast and effective Clock Choke Variation (Koshi Jime)") posted days before this one. It's really not a new "creation" or "development", at least not more than any guys own daily "improvisations" of well established knowledge. Trying to take credit for work of others might have been ok in the Gracie's begginings, but it's not pretty and doesn't need to continue in today's time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqXQY4h6nap2lbs

This is a variation of the Hell choke
@SalesmansParadox12 жыл бұрын
thats a good choke, Ive used it for years but never called it tornado clock choke. I think some people call it a suicide choke as well. You dont need extreme flexibility for that choke.
