Hi, im a student in northern nevada that's doing informative speaking for the first time. I've finished writing and memorizing my speech and i've gotten some good feedback on the speech itself but i've gotten some critiques on my tone of voice, i was wondering if anyone had some tips on sounding less boring?

try to throw some jokes in your speech if it isn't a really serious topic, make sure your VA's are helping the audience understand the topic. Also maybe use interactive VA's not just a board with a picture.

@@scruberj Try making it sound like you're telling a story instead of just speaking from your memory. When you talk to a friend you don't talk monotone, do ya? lol sorry if that was rude

What’s your thesis? Explaining why they’re good or bad? Simply presenting their history or effect on society? I would start a roadmap and thesis before you do anything ;)
