Do you plan to add an eye biter in your tank? I have a 200 gallon with one and it looks great. Wondering if it is a little too aggressive though.
@mattyfish332 күн бұрын
I've thought about it but i want to get the haps into a 300 ish gallon before I do that

Put some vallisneria in your aquarium for some height and float some water lettuce, Christmas moss look great too...
@bluecollarfox9134 күн бұрын
Also, I believe you have a Malawi Hawk in the big tank. How has that fish been? I was considering one but I’ve heard some stories of them being aggressive. And how’s that bucco? With this big 265 I’m starting to add juveniles of some larger hap species
@chefsteve83814 күн бұрын
My hawk doesn't bother anyone, the bucco's are great i have nototania and spectabilis ....recommend the Taiwan reef to....

@bluecollarfox9133 күн бұрын
@ I have a Taiwan reef. I’m stocking it with all my peacocks and haps from my 125. The 125 will become a south/central American tank.

Perhaps, he could be called Sunshine Peacock too, Ruby Red or German Red is a selected lineage from Sunshine Peacock, as is depicted in Chichlid Forum's species information.. The "rusty" colored one is a Jacobfreibergi, the both fishes are stunning. 👍

The one that isn't a jake was bought from a mixed tank as a juvenile without color so that's why I'm not fully sure on him
@libardo-kb5gs9 күн бұрын
I readed hibridation is an issue in Peacocks, since all of them share the genus Aulonocara, and in many cases, they are variants of a species, instead of different species... So hibridation should be avoided keeping males exclusively or doing an expertise seleccion of them.
@mattyfish339 күн бұрын

@ I just set up an automatic drip system with a constant drip into my 125 and there’s an overflow going to sump pump hole. The water is filtered to remove chlorine. I’m expecting some huge growth because of this.
