Isn't there a mistake in the video? It says that (especially 2:06) that "surface tension is at least 38 dyne/cm" which next changes into wetting. As far as I know, the less surface tension we have, the more surface energy we have, where energy surface equals to the wetting. Please, correct me if I am wrong :)

what you’re saying is not correct. The higher is the surface energy of a material, the higher is the west ability. Then you have to consider that the surface energy of a material is different from the surface tension of a liquid. The surface energy of the surface must be higher than the surface tension of a liquid in of at least 10 points if you want the liquid to wet the material’s surface.

@@ferrarinibenellithis is exactly what I meant - in order to achieve proper adhesion, the surfaces energy has to be higher than surface tension of the liquid. Nevertheless on the video you have mixed the tension with wetting I think.

@@ReavenLaux I understand what you mean. Actually the words ‘surface tension’ and ‘surface energy’ have the same meaning if referred to a substrate (always measured in dyne/cm). Thank you for your accurate comment.
