I’m using my GoPro hero 11 I had a strap on my cap. I’m about to get a new go pro hero 13 and it’s got a better quality with new wide lens. It got it all.

I don't know about down n lock but some electric gear can be plugged directly into a servo tester and operated that way. This will see if it is the gear or the controller. You may be able to use another brand of controller also.
