Mr. Greeny, when I water my soil some white powder looking things show up (which are clearly visible under sunlight after the top soil drys up) after a few days. It doesn't seem to affect my plants but I am concerned about it. Any suggestions/tips for me ?
@Pure_Greeny5 күн бұрын
White powder on the soil is a sign of salty Soil, it may affect the Plants immediately, but with Time you will see the plant growing slowly. May be you are using salty Water, or some kind of chemical Fertilizers, Which results this. To fix it use gypsum or some limestone in the Soil, & make sure the water you are using is not salty! Happy Gardening 😊
@surajwahengbam12033 күн бұрын
Mr. Greeny, the place where I am living doesn't have any salty water 😅 and I use organic fertilizers like kitchen waste compost and cow dung compost. At the same time it also resembles some sort of (powder looking) fungus. When I make potting soil from it, it affects the compost mixed in it and spread all over the top soil. So far it hasn't affected my plants (through observation) but am really concerned about it 😅.
@Pure_Greeny2 күн бұрын
It could be the white fungus, appears commonly haven't any direct Side effects, if its too much dig the soil upside down & everything will be fine! Happy Gardening 😊

It happens sometimes, you can Prune your plant lightly, only the growing shoots a little & then use a potassium enrich fertiliser, like wood ash, or dried potato skin. Hi dear lady! For a seedling mix it’s ok 50% cocos ,40%garden compost , And 20%perlite? I wana use this because i kil many seedlings by overwatering! Thx
@Pure_Greeny2 ай бұрын
Cocopeat stays Moist for a Long time, so if wanna avoid too much moisture in the soil by Overwatering, Cocopeat should be very lesser, use sand, because that dries quickly. Compost also have a good Water retention, so that could be a problem too in soo much quantity. You can follow this simple recipe for seedlings:- 👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/iILOoXylhJqLlbMsi=rtE7GiwUEMr-XfTU This would be much be better for seedlings, & avoiding Overwatering! Happy Gardening 😊

Marigold Blooms when the temperature is little cool, also Fertilize it with a flower Fertilizer. You say it's Large, marigold grow many Roots, may be they are stuck inside the pot. Make sure the planter is big enough for the plant, hopefully it will Bloom, place it sun & Fertilize it! Happy Gardening 😊

WHY are you using a regular scissor to trim this hibiscus????😮 You're shredding the end... I'm not a pro, but I know NEVER to do that! I'll pass on this video. Yikes
@Pure_Greeny2 ай бұрын
Hibiscus Upper growing shoots are Very soft, that can be cut by nails, I am using the scissors as they were handy at that Time... The basic principle is simple, make sure to use a stelizer Cutter, make a sharp cut, whether you make it with a knife, or scissor or a Pruner. Hard wood branches are more Easy to cut with the pruner, & Professionally Pruner is always a better Choice, I should off Used the Pruner! Happy Gardening 😊

i used 40% soil 30% cow compost 20% sand 20% cocopeat. Sprayed roses with hydrogen peroxide diluted with water still had dieback and when i cut dieback it starts again even though tool is cleaned. I also gave this water to soil but no effect.
@Pure_Greeny2 ай бұрын
Try not to cut the diebacked branch, don't spray of anything at all, the cow dung you used is to much, never use cow dung more the 10-15%, if its composted then its fine. Dieback could be due several reasons, here is a Step by step treatment guide:-👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3vae6OJbZd9i7Msi=L4VLx_E5sWQKSD-8 Happy Gardening 😊

@@Pure_GreenyMy potting mix seems to be well drained enough. I did add neem leaves in the potting mix too. I haven't overwatered it either and compost is like 7 months old. Doesn't make any sense. Leaves turned crispy first then dieback started.

Rose plant is a sensitive plant, requires everything in line to grow healthily, a little up & down effects it's growth immediately. May be It's not your fault, the season isn't good enough, or the plant was already weak before Repotting, may be roots got exposed to much, could be anything! Focus on treatment, hopefully it will get better! Happy Gardening 😊

@@Pure_Greeny Does roots exposing in air will cause any problems? How can i remove previous soil not exposing them? I did remove old soil in water with little h202 added. I removed soil and planted immediately and did best to not damage roots.
@Pure_Greeny2 ай бұрын
As told earlier, rose plant is sensitive, & high maintenance, such Small things can effect it's overall health! You did Best, but still sometimes plant starts dying, or getting sick without any reason, this might not ne your fault.... You did good not exposing them, in air the roots faces water shortage, but if you did this immediately, & dip it in water then it can't be the reason of dieback etc... Happy Gardening 😊

I have same crispy leaves. I repotted by removing old soil in water and planted in 40% soil, 30% cow compost, 20% cocopeat, 20% sand, some neemcake and 1 spoon fungicide and watered with hydrogen peroxide diluted in water on plant and soil. All leaves turned crispy in 1 day even though they are in shade and i didn't damage roots also. No leave then die back starts. If i cut dieback stem the dieback starts again and yes I cleaned my tools with hydrogen peroxide. All three roses are in same condition. Can someone explain wtf is wrong with desi roses. Why can't they just grow like normal plants.
@Pure_Greeny2 ай бұрын
You followed a careful method that's Great! The 30% cow dung compost is too much, you should of use Lesser, but it's fine as its fully composted. Rose plant is general is a Very sensitive plant, dieback & drying leaves after repotting happens very commonly. What you can do is to avoid dieback, by placing it in an airy Spot, avoiding Water too much, & any other stress on the plant, & give it sometime to recover. but it still happens due to seasonal effects, so just be careful & try to grow something less sensitive. in Roses, You need to be Very careful! Happy Gardening 😊
