Alright I Finished The Video A While Ago But Didnt Have The Chance To Comment My Complete Opinion, But I’m Back Now. I Both Enjoyed And Disagreed With This Video. First Off, The Shroobs. I Don’t Think It’s Fair To Rank The Entire Species Together Since Mist Of Them All Do The Same Thing. They Dint Really Stand Out In Their Own And, If I Remember Correctly, I Dont Even Think Any Of Them Have Much Of A Personality. The Only Exceptions To This That I Can Think Of Are The Two Leaders. I Wouldn’t Say Elder Princess Shroob Has A Chance Of Comparing To Dimentio Due To Genuinely Loving Her Sister (It Doesn’t Come Close To Justifying Her Actions, But At Least She’s Not *Completely* Evil Unlike Her Sister And Dimentio). That Just Leaves The Younger Princess Shroob, Who Has No Redeeming Qualities (She Did Seem Concerned When Her Sister Was Sealed Away In The Cobalt Star, But Did Nothing To Try To Save Her) And, I’ll Admit, Is Pretty Messed Up. While I Wouldn’t Say She Compares To Dimentio Due To Just How Big The Difference In Heinousness Is, I Can See Why Someone Would Think Otherwise Due To Not Being Able To Do What He Tried To Do, Being More Messed Up, And Having A Bigger Kill Count Taking Dimentio’s Being Undone Into Account. I Disagree, But I Understand Your Reasons. As For Count Bleck. I Can See An Argument For Him Doing Worse. I Cannot Say The Same About Him *Being* Worse. Yeah, You Could Say Dimentio Was Only A Threat Due To What The Count Started, But, Given What Little We Know About His Past, The Fact That He’s The Only One Of Bleck’s Minions To Seek Him Out Instead Of The Other Way Around. And The Fact That The Count Rejected Him At First Despite His Willingness To Assist In His Plans And How Useful He’d Be Due To His Powers Seems To Indicate That Bleck Refused His Help At First For A Reason. I Think It’s Reasonable To Say Dimentio Had His Goal Of Destruction From The Very Beggining. Bleck On The Other Hand, Wouldn’t Have Been Evil At All If Not For His Tragedy. Even As A Villain, He Still Has A Good Side And Is Pretty Nice Towards His Minions Despite Lying To Them. At Least He Was Actually Capable Of Redeeming Himself. At Least He Stopped Being Evil, Unlike Dimentio. And While He Did Do Some Good Things, It Was All Pragmatic To Achieve A Very, Very Bad Goal. And While He Did Lose, His Defeat Wasn’t The Fault Of Himself Or The Protagonists. He Thought Everything Out. Saying Count Bleck Is More Evil Than Dimentio Is Like Saying Darth Vader Is Worse Than Emperor Palpatine. Honestly, I’d Say The Only Mario Villains Who Come Anywhere Close To Dimentio In Terms Of Evilness Are King Boo And Cursa. 10:00 WAIT IS THAT ME-

Yay someone that agrees on Shroobs being the most evil villains

The Shadow Queen is arguably more evil than Dimentio. She basically has the same motivations and end goal, but is much more cruel. The first thing she does when meeting the person responsible for reviving her is snap her fingers to behead him. Her body count in TTYD ends up being non-threatening (even Grodus survives as just a head), but that's because Mario happens to be there to stop her before she can get started. As far as evil intent though, she seems more cold-hearted than Dimentio since she doesn't even feel the need to manipulate anyone to do her bidding. Dimentio asks for Mario's help in his new world order, while Shadow Queen only deals in ultimatums without games.

I think you might've glossed over a very strong point in favor of your argument at the end there: If the shroobs were in Dimentio's position, they likely would have at least attempted to do what he did if not something far worse - and if Dimentio had the technology of the Shroobs but not the ability to reshape reality he... would probably do something crazy, but likely something far less cruel, at least? I think that's a better way to look somewhat more objectively at how evil someone is compared to another - if both had the same means and technology at their disposal, which would perform the more evil actions?

Didn't the Shroobs also try to take over the future? If all they did was for survival there would have been no need for that. The Shroobs are conquerors to the point they sacrifice themself to attack you. And if we're going for a single character instead of a group then Princess Shroob (the younger one) would probably be the most evil.

"He got rid of Luigi's mind control" Yeah, with more mind control. Dimentio isn't the most evil of Mario's villains, because he's not a Mario villain. He's a Luigi villain, and he succeeded in using Luigi to become a threat to not only Mario, but the entire universe. Also, I think the reason people don't consider the Shroob's the most evil is because they don't really have a personality as a villain as a whole. They're more of a 'force of nature' villain than anything, they embody the concept similar to a virus or a natural disaster, which is something Mario doesn't tend to face often. Yeah they're evil, but in the same way a tornado can be characterized as evil. They're basically a hive mind, literally a bunch of drones taking orders from a queen (or princess in this case). To me that puts them as an oddity in Mario's villain catalogue, which is why it's probably hard for me to consider them a villain rather than an antagonistic force that just happens to actually be evil.

I'd argue that comparing Dimentio to The Shroobs is unfair, as they are evil in two entirely different ways. The Shroobs actions are definitely evil, however that evil comes from the view of themselves as superior to other species. They are more comparable as villains to Colonisers, and their evil comes from their collective force. I see them as representative of humans exploiting nature and other beings. Dimentio, on the other hand, was an individual seeking complete control over reality, who manipulated the actions and emotions of both sides to achieve his goals. (Side note, I'd argue Dimentio's endgame has the capability of being worse than Bleck's endgame as a universe in his image could entale a fate worse than death to many.) Dimentio as an individual is more evil than any individual shroob, hence why i believe they are not comparable, and could share the title of most evil for different reasons.

Bowser is the most evil, because he gets big sometimes, he's got eyebrows, spikes on his body, plus he breaths fire, and steals females. That is that is why Bowser is the most evil Mario villain. Oh and he wanst to kill Marios, that's why he's so evil.

You know , I never realized Dimentio was pretty much an anti-hero of some sort. It fits him very well ; it defies the mold of the dark prognosticus with the very stereotypical Heroes VS Villain structure while still being a dangerous entity , instead of making him pure evil. He's the jester , he's supposed to be chaotic , not a villain. However , there's one candidate I'm surprised you didn't mention , and that's Smithy. I don't think he's the most evil , but he's the absolute closest to the shroobs ; his entire existence is dominating foreign dimensions through the uses of "realistic" weapons that he mass produced in a factory , to the point that he even mass produced himself in case something went sour. But what's the tipping point for me is that everyone in the Smithy dimension treats world conquering as a 9/5 job , all the people you fight are engineers , bosses of employees , ect... They're rarely labelled as henchmen. Even robots like Count Down looks like the kind of thing you'd clock your time at your daily job. The coolest part however is that Smithy is designed after Santa Claus , and considering how often SMRPG emphasize the theme of childhood through the game (Mallow's growth to become a prince , and Geno being a metaphor for childrens's pure imagination and wishes) , making the final villain a jaded version of Santa Claus who create "toys" to rule the world when he may have been making them for joy at one point is really clever. While SMRPG's humor is more pronounced than PiT and thus makes the smithy gang's actions look less threatening , the whole gang being a metaphor for modernization and destroying environment for the sake of profit is very unique for a Mario game. I do however agree that the shroobs ultimately are more evil , because we're shown directly what they do to people. It's very dreadful to see so many innocent villages and people hide in fear like they're potential casualties in a world wide war , the game has a lot of imagery alluding to ethnic cleansing and genocide which is... Very ballsy for a mario game ??? Like in spite of how silly the game is sometimes , I agree with you , the toads in the forest are straight up dead , the yoshis all hiding in that one house cowering in fear , they kill santa claus , the last remnants of the toad civilization are 2 old ladies running a shop because they were lucky and managed to not be found , all of that is very evil for the standards of Mario. They're more evil than Smithy because while the former feels like a metaphor for attacking the environment and attacking the concept of childhood , the shroobs are so coded to be reference world wide wars and especially genocides and that's just surprisingly grounded for the wahoo man franchise. I've been consuming too much Mario Wonder content recently. Honestly, I think the camera system just leads to more funny content in this game as a replacement for the collision. Also, you're playing Daisy in this game but who do you usually play. After this game, I've never stopped playing Daisy.
