As a Filipino-American, I love this song. My Mama is now 89 years old and I cannot imagine losing her.

The American Boychoir recorded this, too. I'm not sure whether it was directed by Jim Litton or Fernando Malvar-Ruiz; it's possible they both directed the choir singing this piece.

Mom recently passed away. I am crying right now listening to this. She would sing this to me and later on to her grand kids, to make us sleep or comfort us when I'm not feeling well. I could still remember her very soothing and comforting voice. I miss you mom

Learned this in high school choir back in early 2000s. I remember it being faster, but that could have been because of the choir director

Enchanting! What a delightful sight to see and hear cavalier men of honor from the USC Thorton Chamber and their lady singers rendering our two romantic Filipino songs in their original graceful cadence! Bless you one and all always! 🥰👏🙏🎉⭐️🇵🇭

The meaning behind this song is actually very sad, a mother that fights during WW 2 that died.

Listen to this beautiful music and know that the voices are pouring out their heart to make it. I have sung in many choirs. There is nothing like it.
