They do not work if cold outside but there is a "power" button on mine that turns on electric heater inside unit. No problems with cooling.

A standard heat pump can have issues when approaching freezing temperatures, but with a hyper heat model it can go down to nearly 0 degrees before seeing inefficient levels of output. Heat strips can take the highly efficient equipment and give you just 100% compared to the up to 400% you can achieve utilizing the heat pump instead of electric strips. Most of the time you can get the hyper heat model at a similar price to the cost of installing an electric heat strip with a non hyper heat model.

Why use an ATTO if you are going to just tape the inside anyway? Stick the gasket on the metal then insulate over the top. Good lord.

Very important point. Due to using the closed loop system within the hot/cold water plumbings, it is very important that the water heater is clean because you will be drinking from it. This hot water will be circulated within your potable water system as well. All the sediments, corrosion, calcium deposits, rotten egg smell (if any) will be part of your drinking water. I would flush the water heater at least twice a year and change the anode rod every year if you have a recirculating pump.

I have a 24btu Mitsubishi/American standard single zone outdoor unit. I’m having trouble finding a matching air handler. Could I use a different model/series that I’m finding. My model number starts with NAXS. All I’m finding air handlers that start with MSY. I have also found NTX which is Trane, would one of those work?

I have a question. I'm in the market for a new water heater and been looking at a few. Are you employed by, work with, have any monetary benefit from American Standard? Or is this a completely non-biased and independent review of this product? I'm asking for obvious reasons. Thank you.

We did not have any monetary compensation for these videos from American Standard. We are an American standard certified dealer though. We worked with Pace supply for these videos. As a company we wholeheartedly believe in the American Standard products. Very solid units.
