Not a Yu-Gi-Oh player, but in the anime, I never understood why combine 3 really powerful monsters into a single only slightly more powerful monster. With all 3, the attack power far exceeds that of the one. Not to mention (from a MTG point of view) only one of them can be blocked (excluding special abilities) if he attacked with all three.
