Because they did something with the 11.0 patch where old raid bosses had their HP increased by nearly 3x. It's a very recent change, and I'm not sure if it's intentional or not.

If you are soloing its likely that you got hit by the green ghost thing which causes you to go against your allies and the boss is green to you. It causes the whole thing to reset because you're solo.

@@nikkihill4345 Green boss? You mean the green ghost? Or something else? For the green ghost, just run away or use an ability that gets you away faster. It fades away after 10 or so seconds. I just dashed away and it never came back as I downed the boss pretty quick.

Yeah, once you run into the tree to become alive again, you have to interrupt his cast or he'll kill you for real.

@@ChadsYT You have to use an ability that interrupts spellcasting: Kick, Pummel, Rebuke, Wind Shear, Asphyxiate, etc. (depending on your class).

I kept re-rolling anima powers until I got the Ever-beating Heart, which makes you immune to the stun and fear.

You have to let him hit you a couple of times with Cleansing Pain; each time he does you lose a stack of Burden of Sin and get a bit faster. You want less than 3 stacks.

I haven't tried it as a DPS with current tier gear... The issue is the quickly ramping damage but with enough DPS you might be able to get the kill before it gets too bad.

I just tried it as Fury. With a 480 item level I soloed it in three minutes (and only got two Wails of Greed; the second one took me down to 48% health with defensives up). I also killed all of the Spirits of Gold each time they spawned (a quick AoE stun and a couple of cooldowns makes them melt).

I've soloed all of the bosses except Anduin on Normal, and a few on Heroic.

@@TheCrankyTank Anduin because he has a whole up/down phase thing going on? Basically not soloable unless you can burn to 20% asap?

@@Blackage2 Yeah, if you go downstairs it resets, and if you don't you'll get destroyed during the Lich King phase.

Some people that's just all they know.. I clicked for 3 years, till I found Razor 16 button Mice and then I key bound everything from that point on. I pissed a lot of people off too when they couldn't beat me in a duel regardless of what they played, lmfao.

A bit of both... I WAS going to switch to Night Fae but forgot, then once I started the fight I realized I could survive the hit from a ring (if barely) so it seemed easiest to just burn him down as fast as possible to limit the number of rings.

It definitely seemed to help with the magic damage taken; I had an attempt without it and I couldn't even survive until the phase transition. It WAS also a matter of taking it because I had the two I wanted; after 30 minutes of re-rolling anima powers I didn't feel like rolling the dice again! Lumbering Form made a HUGE difference; shaving nearly two minutes from the main phase!

Thanks, it's *mostly* just careful placement of action bars using Edit Mode, Shadowed Unit Frames for the player/target bars, Details for the meters, and a handful of custom Weak Auras.

I use Shadowed Unit Frames for the Player and Target bars, so I can tweak the health/buffs/debuffs more than the stock UI will allow.

Yeah, I basically needed better gear to survive all the damage and get Bargast down ASAP.

It's really tough as DPS because you can't mitigate the incoming damage and you can't heal yourself. I can't do it without being in tank spec.

Have to say that it is doable as fury warrior.

That could be; a lot of these older fights break for seemingly random reasons when unrelated patches or hotfixes come out.
