Nothing compares with the cars of this era. Even the turbo monsters of the Prost and Senna era with their 1500 HP qualifying engines didn't have the screaming exhaust of the car above.

Take a wire wheel and drill and clean up the exhaust cracks. Remove the duty and use JB WELD instead. The puty will fall off after a few heat cycles cos of the vibration
@josephmorgan417 күн бұрын
Yeah I kinda half did that but i used a wire brush and then use JB Weld branded putty ha ha ha ha. But it’s all good cause I’m actually just going to change exhaust now that I’ve forgotten the roadworthy was just so I could pass the roadworthy. Although to be fair to the putty, I’ve driven the car tiny bit after that and given it some wide open throttle and hasn’t just completely blown it out. It’s a lot better than I was expecting it to do.

Another awesome update. Thanks for creating and sharing. You have a good sense of humor. There is a few good videos on KZbin to DIY the roof lining. The materials are pretty cheap. A guy in Adelaide sells quality material. The sunroof may add a level of complexity though. Well done on completing the roadworthy too. I'd still replace those overlooked dodgy tie rod end bushes. Looking forward to the next update.
@josephmorgan419 күн бұрын
Thank you mate I appreciate it. 100% I’ll be replacing the tie rod ends. Same goes for the exhaust too. I thought about doing the headliner myself but some done it dodgy before as there’s meant to be card behind there fabric and that’s holds the shape but instead someone cut some soft foam and just good it to the roof so I just did the same thing basically just till I get it done properly

Pacemakers will certainly help. My clubby also had exhaust leaks. Mainly the old extractors at the exhaust manifold and cracked on the drivers side in between the merge section. New sideskirts from sydney special vehicles. They have the HSV fibreglass sideskirts with the recess for the HSV badge. Will look really good with VT GTS wheels like mine. 👍
@josephmorgan419 күн бұрын
Yeah I wonder if my headers have same issue. I forgot to mention but o actually have the side skirts. Guess I’ll be doing that in the next video haha
@shanesmith935618 күн бұрын
@josephmorgan4 I really need to get my new sideskirts painted and fitted too. Bought them years ago and new badges. Before you fit pacemakers you should replace the engine mounts first. When mine were fitted the header was jammed against the chassis on the drivers side. New engine mounts lifts the motor and gives more clearance. A bolt is still in the way and has put a small hole in mine!
@josephmorgan418 күн бұрын
@@shanesmith9356 wow thank you for the info. Instrument cluster looks good after a clean. I need to clean mine. The idle issue you mentioned about it going up and down might be the Mass Air Flow sensor in between air filter box and throttle body. I had the same issue and from memory I am sure that was fixed after I fitted a new delphi MAF sensor.

WOW that is a lot of work on the interior! I am so glad the only part I had to change in the interior was power window switches. @josephmorgan4 My HSV Vt Clubsport is Tungsten Gold and I have the same seats as yours. You are right about the genuine headlights and fog lights being hard to find.
