This was a lovely retrospective on one of few games that made me happy to have a PlayStation 4. It really hit me in a special place and I felt the appreciation you also had for this title. Hey, only now stumbled upon this video, and wanted to say that it's pretty great! Especially liked the writing, as it felt very eloquent, altho could have used with a little bit less of "this" and "that" when talking about and describing one or another video game. Had to turn on subs cause got confused when you were talking about Callisto Protocol. With Alien: Isolation in particular, we like to refer to it as simply "Isolation" as it is clear what is being referred to (and on a personal note, I also really like saying "The Game" when talking about it, in reference to how the Weyland Yutani corporation is addressed in its setting - "The Company", which highlights just how large its influence and how dominant it is in the world of Alien). I also highly appreciate how you describe Isolation as being a simulator of the first movie, which I find incredibly resonating with my experiences with The Game and how I view it, altho the way I put it is overly detailed and specific like: "a simulation of the experiences of the crew of the Nostromo in the first film, from all the mundane, routine and boring, to frustrating, stressful and terrific of it". If there is one thing I'd criticize in your video, it'd be the lack of any pauses, downtime or anything that sorta signifies a transition between the aspects of the game you're discussing. And I don't meant that you're simply talking too fast, that's not the problem at all. It really can feel like a rant or rambling, and not in a good, Zero Punctuation kind of way, where things don't flow flow one into another, but mesh together instead. It just made it a bit harder to follow the video, nothing too drastic.

I played FIFA all the way back in FIFA 14 (i think?) In the PS2 and then stoped because i didn't really care about Football or anything. Years later, in the PS4 i see on ps plus free games FIFA 22, i play it i like it. Next year, see FIFA 23 is out, buy it, dont like it, then EA FC 24 for free in ps plus monthly free games, play it, dont like it. Then i start seeing older FIFA games like 19 and 17 just to have players that retired or some iconic team from those year, buy both games. They are so much better. How do you downgrade so bad in such a short time?

I've completely cut myself off FIFA games. Playing other stuff really opens your eyes to how bad sports games are in general. They're piss poor products that I honestly feel shame for buying back in the day.

Boxing is 100% more dangerous than MMA, because in boxing once you get knocked out you are still able to get back up in 10 count, increasing risk of concussion. In MMA once you're knocked out, it's done.

Undisputed is an absolute trash tier game. It's so bad on a fundamental level. There's sooooo many issues you can't even list them on a youtube comment. The biggest issues though are a garbage text based career mode, god awful AI for singleplayer and absolutely dogshit netcode with massive desync making every online fight a coin toss more than a measure of skill. I want a good boxing game but Undisputed is 1000% not it. Don't misinform the people. It's BAD and if that's our ONLY hope, we are cooked. Check out Bloody Knuckles Street Boxing or the new Muay Thai game in development by Overhand Interactive.

FIFA 23 was fine but this FIFA, I NEVER see so many people complained about it and I NEVER see so much hate in the game!

1 minute in and I've already subscribed lol. It feels like EA doesn't care about our complaints as long as it can pump out trash and we still buy it in masses giving them millions in revenue. We can't even blame EA. Imagine if you don't even have to try and people will still buy and spend money on your game earning you millions. They need competition.

Gameplay still the biggest issue. Teammate Ai still sucks and useless when on higher difficulty. Standing like statues while the opponent dribbles by, or leaving the back post unprotected from a cross. UT is to blame for this downfall, and players keep buying packs every year.

The only thing that has improved are the graphics. The game modes have pretty much been identical to previous FIFAS.

What made me decide not to buy eafc next year, after playing almost every edition since 07 is that after j lost interest in fut, i started a player career mode only to find out they added dumb objectives in order to get a contract or transfer. Good video. Honestly when i stopped buying fifa when it got to fifa 19. (I bought every single fifa from 11 to 19). As a GM mode player first and foremost, I felt like not only it was the lack of innovation, i swear i think they were deliberately removing gameplay elements or modifying them to make them just plain annoying. Like the transfert and resigning market. At first i was hopeful of the change but after i played it i just wanted to play fifa 14 again. I felt like they were killing the non microtransactions game mode in effort to make players go to fut. I still plug my xbox360 to play fifa 11 once in a while to play GM with a young Messi and Ronaldo. And i find like the gameplay is less of a buggy mess than it is in fifa 18 or 19 with random i tackle you but the engine is broken so it goes back in your legs kidda bullshit.

EA will release good sports games again when the UK admit they invented the word soccer and it's the correct name for the sport.

One big thing I want changed is the gameplay. Feels too fast and free scoring now. There aren’t really different ways to play. Just pop a through ball and shoot near post. EA games like Madden and NHL have gameplay presents in which you can choose an Arcade, Competitive, or Simulation style gameplay. For me, a Career Mode player, it’s absurd that my gameplay is so similar to FUT, Clubs, and Kickoff. I want that slower play in which some games can end with 1 or 0 goals. I want my goalkeepers and defenders to be in form because they can actually keep clean sheets. I want to have to think about ways to breakdown my opponents that aren’t a quick ball down the wing. I can see why the quick, flashy gameplay is good to keep people active in FUT but I want other options for playing with my friends or by myself.
