as a senior and the captain of that team that year... wtf happened in the following years. the work ethic and encouragement to be creative was palpable. we won all regionals and were seriously considered in nationals every year

It seems these old games always have that ONE thing that's worth way too many points compared to everything else (supercells for this game), seems like they've started to move away from that recently and made all scoring styles somewhat reasonable.

9 Months late, but several teams ran variants of crab drive, the ancestor to Swerve, including one Einstein champion (148). Crab largely fell out of favor in years after (displaced by West Coast Drive) only to make a comeback in the form of Swerve in recent years. Other crab robots that were particularly successful in 2008 include 16 and 111. The former of which, was an Einstein finalist!

This was my favorite game and this was my final competition season with 314 Big Mo and it was a very good year we won our State Championship with the #3 alliance and were partnered with 33 Killer Bees and 27 Rush. That was a win i'll never forget

We just finished up our regional competition in Windsor, ON. Canada. Our team is 4922, The Tartans, and we finished in last place but we're a rookie team so we learned a lot and we had lots of fun over the last few days. Our robot was mainly defensive but we did have fork lifts that used a toilet plunger like the one in the video to pick balls up :P
