私は1987年の45期名人戦で、名人に成れたと思います。第4局の中原名人の▲5三角の王手に△2一玉として、痛恨の逆転負けでした。△4二金打ちで勝てていたと思います。あの局面は誰でも金打ちでしょう。そう成れば、米長先生の3勝1敗でした。恐らく、変調と思われた中原名人から奪取されていたと思います。名人1期だけで終わる事は無かったと思われるだけに惜しい、勿体ない一局だったと思います。
