I was on the fence with putting my kid in scouts. This video helped with my decision

Eagle scout here. Always hated the religious nationalism aspect of Scouts. Very dystopian/North Korea-like. I did my duty to humanity and my world.

If thier is a duty to God then the Boy Scouts should make sure that all survivors are satisfied with the conclusion of thier lien on the bankruptcy plan now in the courts! To minimize any ones trauma, no matter the duration at its inception or the amount if percieved abuse will be a great injustice! A hundred years of abuse is probably a reason for a "death sentence"?

This is a great video I love sharing with scouts. Although the LDS has officially pulled out of scouting, these words still stand strongly towards scouting's purpose and values. I am not LDS, but our council continues to support many LDS Scouts who stuck with the program even after the changes in policy.

Have you denied yourself of ALL ungodliness and loved God with ALL your might, mind, strength? Be honest. Because only IF you have, is his grace sufficient for you. (Moroni 10:32) Are you performing family history work, magnifying your calling, keeping the Sabbath day holy, paying tithing, wearing the garment, not using the term Mormon, not drinking alcohol, coffee, tea and eating meat sparingly? Are you honest, chaste in thought and deed, not covetous, attending the temple regularly, cleaning the church, only wearing one earring per ear(ladies only, none for the men) and doing all else that your leaders ask? If not, then according to the BOM, God’s grace is not sufficient to save you. This is not the gospel of Jesus Christ who came to save us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). That’s why the gospel is good news, because Jesus has done it all! Just put your trust in him and let him be Lord and Master of your life and you will be saved and free from the yoke of trying to earn God’s favor and grace.

That is debatable; both are correct. In one fo the recent Boy's Life articles it said both are correct and the author was also asking scouts to go online for a survey to see which way scouts prefer it.

My sister Reagan has BPES she's falling behind everything like eating and crawling at 16 months. She is a size of a 6 month old. She is getting surgery really soon so her eyes on the top don't become blind. Please like this if you have BPES.

I never knew who wrote/directed this until just now. Wanted to thank you. We share this at every basic training we hold as well as at least once a year at Roundtable. Nothing helps remind leaders of the important work they do than watching this video. A hush fills the room every time; I think it helps leaders remember it's about more than awards.

Linda Thrall Scout oath and scout law are not the motto scout law is: a scout is: trustworthy loyal helpful friendly courteous kind obedient cheerful thrifty brave clean and reverent. And the oath is: on my honor I will do my best to do my duty to god and my country and obey the scout law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight

Nice video, but the origin of the first quote is from Frederick Douglas: " “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men” (Frederick Douglass, 1817-1895) see drandrewrowland.wordpress.com/2014/04/25/it-is-easier-to-build-strong-children-than-to-repair-broken-men-frederick-douglass-1817-1895/

I promise I'm not trying to be funny in anyway what so ever but I went to junior high school with a kid that now I know what was going on with him we always thought that he was always high on Marijuana cause that's how our eyes got when when we smoked. This might sound stupid but thanks to the last Alaskan tv show now I know what was going on with this kid I went to school with.

video is uplifting promoting God, but not factual as visioned by LDS. Jesus Christ was God and provides the ONLY atonement for all sin, something LDS does not sponsor.

Hi, my son was born last week and today was diagnosed with BPES. I was just wondering if you had any updates on maxell? We are now starting our research and would just like to know what avenues to pursue. If you have any advice in which you could pass on it would be greatly appreciated. I hope maxwell is doing well and i look forward to hearing of his progress

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful video of your family. My daughter was just diagnosed and is one month old now. We're just waiting for her surgery consult. We love her so much and it pains us to think that anything is wrong with her and that she'll go through a surgery but she's doing so well. Today she opened both eyes a tiny bit and stared at me while I nursed her. It was magical. I would love to see more from you guys. It helps so much. Thank you for putting the effort into sharing.
