John 3:16 For God so loved the WORLD , that he gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him may not perish but have eternal life. If your reading this God loves you and sent his son to die for you not only for the forgiveness of sins but so you may have a personal relationship Him and spend eternity in Heaven with Him. If you've ever felt the urge to give your life to Jesus, go to church, pray, or what have you it's probably because God is calling you to do those things and trying to draw you to Himself. He doesn't want you in Hell but with Him.❤

I am happy to hear that! Thanks for letting us know.

Is there any way of making the sound higher? Because most (not all) the time I struggle to hear you. Keep preaching repentance, and the Gospel. Your works will survive the fire as it says in 1Corinthians 3:10-15. If I am reading it right. Please let me know if not.

I would like to say that the prayer you spoke was helpful but all I could hear was the piano. If you could give me a highlight on what you prayed I would appreciate it. Love what you are doing, please keep it up. GOD Bless you, your family as well as your church family.

Once again I must thank you for your faithfulness I your preaching. I am in amazement that there are preachers like you who are not motivational speakers, but men who preach the whole truth. I am glad that I found your church. I want to come there someday, but I am having a hard time going to church. Because I have been severely wounded by my old church. It is a pain that made me go numb for many years. Now I m not only shy of churches but out of the habit. I want to be able to ask you questions and to make a good decision about where to go. Such as why are you a pastor? Where did you go to seminary? Just 2 examples. But I am scared. So hard to trust again. My old pastor didn't even like me, and went out of his way to show it. I have gone into my home and shut out the world. I do watch you and people like Justin Peters, or John Mcarthur. My only experience with church was ' word of faith ', charismatic or 'nar'. So it has been just recently that I have heard the Good News. That is why I appreciate your preaching so much. I say all of this in order that you might understand me just a little. I pray that the LORD who gives you strength that you may preach HIS Will, will continue to bless your words, as well as your family and your people that GOD gave you. May you know HIS perfect love always no matter what comes your way. May HIS grace be with you and yours. I pray that GOD'S Blessing be upon Green Road Church, and all who go there. Amen Victoria Gray

Victoria, It is helpful to learn about your background and history. I am so sorry you have had these wounding experiences. I pray that God would continue to bring healing to you and that some day, you will once again be able to discover joy in belonging to a local church.

Hello I just wanted to get in contact with you to find out a particular question, have you ever done a teaching on eschatology? I'm interested in the subject and I wanted to know your Church's views on that subject. Could you please let me know
@davidvanderwiele85544 жыл бұрын
Good to hear from you again! I did a sermon series on the Book of Revelation back in the Fall of 2016. Our church tries to keep things simple when it comes to eschatology. We believe that Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead. We do not know the day or the hour, but we must always be prepared.

Just a couple of things if I may please, your audio is not very good I can barely hear you and my main question why do you lift hands when you worship I do it too but I don't understand why I do it could you explain it for me please?
@davidvanderwiele85544 жыл бұрын
Yes, I apologize for the quality of the audio. We have been having some issues which we are trying to resolve. Regarding lifting my hands in praise, yes, it is a Biblical expression of worship. Psalms mentions it several times.

How will you handle the service for us at home? Looked for your video this week but did not see it. I miss your sermons. I watch them all the time

I must say, your sermons are so different from others, they are more along the lines of being a motivational speaker. I appreciate your sermons because you explain the Scriptures in a way that we can understand. And you talk about JESUS and mention HIS Name, and you preach the Gospel. Thank you. I have been looking for a church and I believe yours is the one for me. Again thank you for preaching JESUS

You showed a video that explained light years that's based off of millions of years in the creation account it's very wrong to believe in millions or billions of years for creation it undermines the authority of scripture and it destroys the foundation of the Gospel if you're going to say it doesn't matter please do not respond to this text if you want to know more look up Pure Flix and Answers in Genesis it's a free 30-day trial and it will explain to you why it's so bad to put millions and billions of years into the creation account thank you
@greeneroadchurch66435 жыл бұрын
In the video, the speaker was trying to help the audience grasp the vastness of the universe that God created. He used a unit of measurement for distance called a light-year, the distance that light travels in one year. To me, it was helpful in illustrating just how great our God is.
@victoriagray83675 жыл бұрын
@@greeneroadchurch6643 I understand why you used to video but what I am trying to get you to understand is that putting millions of years into the Bible takes away from scripture the light that we see from distant planets is not billions of years old it's normal time watch Pure Flix Answers in Genesis they will explain it to you better than I can but we cannot allow millions of years nor evolution to seep into the Bible that undermines scripture exact should be a forcible no by everybody who is a Christian no need to reply to this message

Have you already preached on the part of James when he talks about planning for the future? I might have missed it but one Sunday and week after it did not post and 1 I missed.
@greeneroadchurch66435 жыл бұрын
I think the passage you are referring to is James 4:13-17. I preached on that two weeks ago (Nov. 3). The reason for the missing video on October 27 is we had a special service of praise. Making a good video recording of a service like that is beyond our capabilities. Thank you for your on-going interest and encouragement. I am grateful that these messages are a blessing to you.

Doesn't the enemy tempt us. It is not only just, us from within, that tempt us is it?
@greeneroadchurch66435 жыл бұрын
That is a great question! In James, I believe the focus is on our desires which we seek to satisfy in ways contrary to God's will.

Okay so the Book of James teachers War intellectual Temptations but outside the book of James does the bible teach that the enemy temps us or not I thought he did but if I'm wrong please straighten me out
@greeneroadchurch66435 жыл бұрын
@@victoriagray8367 You are asking great questions that are sometimes difficult to answer. The Bible tells us that Satan tempts us and that our temptations come from our own desires. How I understand this is that Stan uses our desires and tempts us to fulfill them in ways that are outside of God's will. Take our sexual desires as an example. The desire is good and God-given. But God restricts its fulfillment to an exclusive marriage relationship. Satan entices us to seek sexual satisfaction outside of marriage. The result is never satisfying and always leads to destruction in our lives. When Jesus was tempted, he understood the schemes of Satan, resisted putting His own needs above God's established means, and quoted scripture as His defense - a great example to follow!

You've been going through the book of Nehemiah and I'm wondering where is the gospel?. I've heard you mention it once in the series so far but shouldn't you be mentioning it every single time?.
@greeneroadchurch66435 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the concern you raise. You highlight one of the challenges of preaching through a book like Nehemiah. My goal is that in some manner, God's grace is communicated in each sermon. Thanks for the reminder!
