I apologize to those with fond nostalgia for this series but it really looks ugly and plays meh. Those pre-rendered 3D-model sprites are completely void of soul (the polar opposite of the hand-animated 2D like Yoshi's Island) and just look so ROUGH, god. It's a shame that it was made by one of the best software houses, Rare (formerly Ultimate Play The Game from the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, who made some of my all-time favorite games) but turned out so meh :(
