Hi good video you mention not being the right boat on big pits what about a 200acre pit ? Id only be fishing at around 150yards
@TheAnglr3 ай бұрын
@@JamesChen-p9i hey bud, sorry a bit late. I’d personally say no. I was fishing a pit last winter that I was fishing at about 110/120 and I thought I was at the absolute limit of the boat. It’s just my opinion obviously. Also with big(ish) pits comes big weather and it certainly struggles when the weather’s tough. Hope that’s a help m8. I’m trialing a ND bait boat at the moment that does a lot better at range and in bad weather. Only a couple of hundred more…. Maybe something you can think about.
@JamesChen-p9i3 ай бұрын
@@TheAnglr I get that with long range a lot of the boat’s struggle at distance but when you start looking at boats at around £700 plus like the carp lounge boats with Mercedes motors on them you might as well go carp fishing like your in your own front room with all the creature comfort’s, my problem with them higher priced boats is unreliability no access to the electrics then the boat has to be sent off for repairs which is a load of grief, what concerned me in your video was that the boats speed was reduced it started lacking speed that must be a electrical problem, not being funny but model shops are a really good bet because they can convert RC models the model shop i went too he said he could build me a boat from scratch with double hoppers etc I’ve at the moment got two different boats a broadlands bait boat had it all updated to digital and it’s a complete load of rubbish the other one off eBay I paid £85 but at say 60 yards it starts it’s games takes ages to get out there and come back it’s a bit of a dilemma with these boats you want one that can do everything for like £500 but doubt that will ever happen
@TheAnglr3 ай бұрын
@@JamesChen-p9i Totally agree with your view on the expensive boats... I've paid £500 for an ND one and that's about my limit unless I win the lotto.. Regarding the speed. I don't think it was an electrical problem per se.. more of a motor issue. When selling a boat for that price they obviously haven't put the cream of the crop in there when it comes to motors. If id had kept hold of the boat instead of selling it to my best friend I'd have done what you're thinking about and got hold of some great quality motors and replaced the tired ones in the boat. The biggest issue I had with the boat (at range) was consistency and lag. You may have seen the small video I did with my daughter on the range of the boat. I managed to get it to dump the hopper and rev the engines at 400+ yards, if I remember right, the problem with those results though; they were a touch one-dimensional. It wasn't until I used the boat at 120 yards plus 10/15 times a session that I realised you get a fair amount of lag and sometimes non-responsiveness at that distance. (At least I did with my boat.) At sub 100 yards though, the boat was fantastic and £ for lb, it's the best baitboat on the market In my opinion. That being said, a bit of modding on the range and engines and you could circumvent all those issues above and end up with a great boat for a lot less than the Big Bucks ones. I'd be interested if you do go the custom route though, keep in touch! After I've completed my review on the ND boat I'm using now, I am thinking of doing a custom boat for my next project. So yeah, let us know how you get on. If I can be of any further help regarding the actor then feel free to give us a shout. (If you need a response promptly, you're better off emailing me at [email protected]) All the best!

I'm in the states and never heard of a bait boat. I fish the snake river in-between Idaho and Oregon and a rig like this might be the answer to landing in the channel. On the Idaho side the channel is close but not from Oregon and I wonder if the motors are strong enough to beat the current..

You’re welcome m8, hope it helped. Yea you’re spot on… just a bit of attention needed when putting out and retrieving, (and I understand they now include some sort of compass system that helps the ‘straightness’ though no idea if it works. Thank you so much for this highly honest and informative review. I built my own boat some 14 yrs ago, which is still functional but felt I needed a change and based on this review and your conclusion I bit the bullet and invested in one with compass, will be using it for the first time this weekend. I will keep you posted on my experience, but based on you're review and the comments others have posted, I feel my opinion will be academic really 🤣 Boat looks and feels incredible value for money. Enjoyed your review mate. Keep doing them! I do have a question for you: I have a titan t2 pro camo and I understand that Nash state you can sort of attach a titan to one of the open sides so it makes a kind of bolt on social room. T2 pros are quite big at the front but it looks like it would work. What’s your thoughts?
@TheAnglr Жыл бұрын
To the blockhouse? …. If so that wouldn’t work because of the way the side windows are. (Don’t quote me, but that my best guess) I know Nash sell a special ‘social room’ that you can buy that specially designed for that purpose your describing. If you wanna give me a follow on FB and when you see me on the bank next week send me a message and I’ll take a video to show you why I don’t think it’ll work. That help?

Sorry m8, bit late in responding… Yea you’re not alone, it’s not the easiest to clip in. To be fair, I don’t really use it to the point I don’t even bother bringing it with me anymore… when I was making this vid, I seem to remember the trick being put one end in first (I think front maybe?!?) and then click in the other end. Maybe it’s one of those things that’ll improve with use, or maybe a bit of light sanding might help? Anywho… cheers for the like m8. 👊

Hello, Does the groundsheet completely closes the bivvy? I ask it, because there are many ants in my fishing spot, and I always have problems with them. The zipperd groundsheets are not enaugh good, because they find the holes, where the zipper connect, and the just come on those holes. Thats why a perfect closure would be important for me. Thank you!

Greet review, have the same boat and it's very good for the money. On the going straight, I put it on scales, weighed left side and the right side, it's not balanced. Hey m8… yea it’s a shame. They released a pro version a few days ago and I was like ‘Yes! They fixed it’ … but No, still the same. I can only guess they haven’t tested it in the rain ?!?! Tarp wise I use an Amazon bought one that I recommend. It was 45 quid but I believe it’s on offer at the moment. I don’t think I can put links here but search Amazon for ‘V VONTOX Tent Tarp Waterproof - Rain Tent Tarp Light Ripstop Fabric-10X10 Ft’ and it should be top one. It’s 3x3m and is adequate room. I’ve also got a ‘Unigear Hammock Rain Fly Tent Tarp 300cm x 300/400/500cm’ in 3x4m if I want a bit more room. Both of these are good quality… dunno what the Fishing companies are charging for Tarps but some of the best tarps in the world used by pro climbers etc are around a £100 for 3x3 max just to give you a price reference.. If you want to give us a shout on Facebook I can send you links direct..
