Not a lot of people mentioned it, but _(My) War_ ... that one was a serious warning of how depressing the series was going to be. You never felt good hearing it the first time you watched those episodes, but listening to it and reading the lyrics AFTER knowing how it went down? Bruh... Brilliant. But so depressing.

My Ranking of the Intros: 1. Guren no Yumiya (Opening 1) - it's the perfect opening, it hypes you up about the anime and braces you up for what's to come. The beat is top-notch, and don't even get me started on the lyrics! 😭 It's the perfect forerunner. 2. My War (Opening 6) - Man, this song is crazy! They killed it with the chorus and rhythm; it's catchy yet dark and mind-numbingly intense. The only reason it's not number one is that it isn't as great lyrically as Guren no Yumiya. 3. Shinzou wo Sasageyo (Opening 3) - I think everyone would agree this should be in the top three; there's not much explanation needed for this one. 4. Red Swan (Opening 4) - This song is nostalgic; it makes you want to go back to the home you missed, or perhaps, in their case, the innocence they lost, the peace they took for granted, the memories they shared, and their blissful ignorance. It was also a great break from the fast-paced and energetic songs. 5. Under the Tree (Opening 8) - This song is two-edged; it's both badass and sadly nostalgic. 6. The Rumbling (Opening 7) - The metal here is badass; the song is literally coming for you. 7. Jiyuu no Tsubasa (Opening 2) - The song is great in its own right, but it falls short when compared to the others, which have distinct elements that make them stand out. It follows the same theme as the anime, which isn't a bad thing; it just blends in instead of standing out. 8. The Last Titan (Opening 9) - It falls next in line. 9. Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi - Great song, but no particular allure; it's similar to the first and second openings. Overall they're all great songs, let me know what you guys think.

Best anime ever

Mark my words that no anime will ever top this. Everything else has become a push over of a show or movie. They set the bar so high that I can’t enjoy anything else, it all feels rushed, mediocre, cliche, reused, lazy and not creative. So glad I had the opportunity to watch this as it unfolded and not just binge it at once to ride the bandwagon. Tried to rewatch Naruto but this show makes Naruto unbearable. Except for the itachi sasuke arch, that was goated.
