Great video! Ive been watching all of your tiffin gh1 videos as i try to decide weather to build a van or buy something like this! Id love to hear your thoughts after owning yours for about a year. Any problems? Warrant issues? Regrets? Cheers!

Awesome! Thanks for watching our gh1 videos. As with most vehicles, it seems, there have been some technical service bulletins and recall notices. Nothing major, but it can be a challenge to get service done if you live on the road like we do. If your home base is near the dealer, at least you can schedule time to get in. We thought passing near the Tiffin headquarters in Alabama would allow us to het in more quickly and get things taken care of, but they have a waiting list 3-4 weeks long. They want you to sit in their attached campground and wait. Doesn't work for us so we found another servicer when it works for us. We have had some simple things like loose or not-ever connected wires that were easy to fix. We are currently investigating an issue with one of the electrically controlled valves for hot water. In the end, no regrets! We love the maneuverability and compactness and plan to explore the upper northeast this summer and take it to Alaska next summer! Can't say we have had problems, but have made a major adjustment. We removed the second row of seats and built a storage container for clothing and whatever else. I will be posting that build soon. We used one of the two "shower shelves" as the hinged top door. Pretty happy with it.

I have a similar issue and need to get the floor replaced in my bedroom closet slide out. Did you have to retract the slide in some to access the wardrobe face screws? that's the biggest thing holding me up, I can't see the slideout floor from the inside with the closet in the way. Even when I peak behind my bottom drawers the bottom I can see is not the plywood floor but more of the closet material they used to "box" in the wardrobe/closet itself. Nice repair though, I will definitely use some of the tips here when I tackle mine
@TheSwanStory2 ай бұрын
Definitely had to retract the slide a bit to get a shorty screwdriver at some of those screws attaching the bottom. We also had that flooring material inside as a decorative "liner" but that was actually hiding the fact that there was black mold under there. We cut that out immediately and sprayed bleach in there until we could get to a place to do the repair. After the repair, we just left the plywood visible. No need for anything decorative because no one will see it.

How the heck do you control the air conditionaire? I can't seem to find the controls to the AC unit anywhere online including the owner's manual. Also, how long can you run the AC unit (estimate) on a full battery power?
@TheSwanStory5 ай бұрын
There is a control panel on the A.C. unit itself. Right in the middle. I can't drop a pic here to show you. We haven't tested the limits of a full charge running the A.C. but the tech thought "3-4 hours".

Beautiful waterfalls. I do have a question about your Tiffin GH1. How have you found the quality to be on the unit? Have you had any problems that were significant? It's such a guessing game trying to find an RV that's well-made with a manufacturer that will stand behind it research looks like the Tiffin is put together pretty well in fact it looks like they may have learned some lessons from their last fan and made grass improvements. I hope that's the case
@TheSwanStory5 ай бұрын
Sorry it took me so long to see your questions. We had two easily-solved issues with connections coming apart. So far, we are happy with the build quality. I also got a call directly from the person at Tiffin asking about our experiences. It seems they care!
@jimcbutts6 ай бұрын
I’m really interested in the Tiffin GH1 At least as of today, I think I’ve narrowed it down to the one that I would like to pursue purchasing in the near future. First, thanks for your video very helpful. Second, have you had any quality issues with the van. If so, were they minor or significant thanks again.
@MarkSwanUSA6 ай бұрын
We had two very minor assembly issues. One was a cable to the StarLink power supply was not plugged in at all. The other was a cable going from the AquaHot control panel down to the unit itself disconnected. Both simple fixes but you have to be willing to dig in a little. There have been a few repair recall notices regarding the configuration in the solar charging controller and the bracket that holds the solar panel on. To me, all these were pretty minor. A person from Tiffin in Alabama actually reached out to us after purchase, to see how we were doing with it.

I'm picking up my 2023 GH1 tomorrow and have a few questions if you don't mind. 1. How long will your AC go on batteries, assuming starting out with a full charge and outdoor temps in the 80's or 90's? 2. Typically how far/long do you have to drive to charge your batteries from a low state to fully charged? 3. Did the rig come with privacy shades for all windows? I saw your video on the back of the van and its shade/screen. I want to be sure of this before the dealer tells me different. I debated waiting and getting the '24 but I'm not sure what to think of them going to the 4 cylinder engine and the AWD. It'll be interesting to see what the other adventure van guys do about that being that that's the only MB will offer going forward. I just saw the new Revel does use the new 4 cyl AWD chassis... Thanks!
@TheSwanStory6 ай бұрын
Thanks for asking. 1) We bought at the end of December in Tucson so have not had a chance to really use the A.C. for any amount of time. Sorry. I hope to learn more about those limitations this summer. 2) We asked that question during checkout and the tech said things should be charged after driving 1 to 1-1/2 hours. That's about right from what we have experienced. 3) The black privacy shades in the back and on the side definitely came with it as standard. The sales guy said that La Mesa bought all the remaining 2023 because they weren't sure how the 2024's 4 cylinder was going to perform. We had planned to use the GH1 this summer for more extensive Idaho and Montana adventures but we are putting that off a bit. We are still learning! And we like it so far.

Is this rv any good? What are some issues that you had with it? I’m looking to buy one. How is the lithium system powering the roof ac?
@TheSwanStory8 ай бұрын
Hi! Firstly, the Tiffin brand is highly regarded so, yes, I would say this is a good RV. We have been very happy with it so far. And very impressed with Tiffin's contact with us. The A.C. units have the "soft-start" technology so it doesn't require that huge influx of power when it starts up. They make it clear that you can't run the A.C. all day on the charging supplied by the solar panel. If you're plugged into shore power, of course, the lithium battery is out of the equation.

Why did you choose this over the Revel...
@MarkSwanUSA9 ай бұрын
We bought from La Mesa RV in Tucson. At that location, they had a bunch of Revels and Tiffins. At that time, the Revel and the Tiffin were the exact same price and the Tiffin models had top of the line Mercedes-Benz driver comforts; upgraded seat controls, heated seats, upgraded navigation system. So for the same price, we felt like we got a lot more. The guy at La Mesa said that La Mesa bought out all the remaining 2023 Tiffins.
