Mick Taylor was banned because he played too loud. 40 year's later, he comes back and he plays...the loudest !🤣This 3 guitars play is genius. Keith, the basis, Mick the virtuoso, and Ron, the bricklayer, the guy without whom today's Stone's lead !

Sorry, but I never got on with Mick Taylors riffing throughout this song. It takes up space that is better left empty..too much of a diversion.

That is what Keef always hated about Taylor.
@cs-72 ай бұрын
You're nuts. Taylor's fills complete the song. Without it, it's a 12 minute blues jam with no edge or tension. The Stones have been missing those emotional blues licks since he left in 1974. After he left, the Stones lost that sweet southern blues flavor that Taylor brought to the band, even though he's English and not from the South.

Midnight rambler, 1971 at the marquee club was my favourite live version of this song, raw and pure
@fuchsiaswing85453 ай бұрын
@@vc23The 1971 versions of this song are my favorite, as well. They were on fire on the UK ‘71 Tour before becoming tax exiles. The 1972-73 versions are pretty unbelievable, too, but more for just how frenetic yet tight the band was on those tours.

Oh get off your high horse, and here he is still with us having not long turned 77. His choice to smoke and it was the same decision I made to over 50 years ago. I’m sure Ronnie Wood doesn’t have a fag in his mouth to “look cool”
