In 1977 the highway was all gravel from Northern BC to the Alaskan border. The highway was just wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other if they went slow ! It was always a semi going south that sprayed my rig with gravel and even caused the radiator to get punctured ! That was a bummer ... after that I came up with a new strategy for dealing with them sort of like playing "Chicken"

Thanks for showing your journey! Since you are a newer channel I wanted to share with you some tips (We do have a channel but have not posted anything yet so take what I say with a grain of salt). Two things that will make your videos more watchable are: 1. Camera stability. Most cell phones and cameras have stability control and even if not, lots of editing software may have it also. 2. Audio quality. When you speak in this video, your voice is barely audible, even when I turn up the volume to the max. Although audio can be adjusted when editing, it is always a good idea to have the original recording as good as possible. That said, it is great to see you out on the road enjoying life and sharing your travels. We look forward to your future updates. Safe travels!
@infinitewave5161
@infinitewave5161 5 ай бұрын
Appreciate the feedback! Interestingly, when I edited these the audio was so loud in my earbuds that I actually turned it down with my software, only to find it was super low when I watched it. So, guess I'll stop doing that! And I know the stability could use some significant improvement as well. I have a tripod, just have to start using it more. When I do hold the camera I will redouble my efforts to pan smoothly and more slowly, also. It's a learning process ... but I'm loving it and looking forward to improving! :)

@@paulrydzinski9995 Interesting. I have been planning this move for 5 years now and the area around Talkeetna is where I have been thinking I'd like to start looking for land to build my off grid cabin. No diesel heater yet, but a good 220ah Lithium iron phosphate battery, 300 watts of solar, a 40 amp dc to dc charger (so 440 watts of charge while my engine is running), and a 3k watt pure sine wave inverter. I have a propane heater and an electric one but a diesel heater is on my wish list. I have a good bit of winterizing to do on the trailer if I have any hope of living comfortably in it, especially my first winter. Not sure exactly what you mean by an inverter style generator? @@infinitewave5161 I have a 4 acre parcel in Talkeetna, however only accessible via trail after a certain point. Would recommend you get the diesel asap, propane is gonna eat your dollars, especially in the winter. Electric one is only gonna be good of course with shore power if you have access to it. The inverter style is like one of those honda 2000 generators. You want something quiet but also efficient, something you can pickup and put inside. It will be hard af to start if left out in the freezing cold. Just giving you information I wish someone told me when I started out. I learned the hard way lol
