Hi, Thank you for your information. Fabric Quality:32s+40d lycra pique WPI : 34 In general, 32s+40d lycra pique can be knitted in either 24gg or 28gg. Since your WPI is much denser, my guess is knitted in 28gg Fabric width if knitted in 28gg = (3.14 x 26 dia x 28gg) / WPI = 2285.92 / 34 = 67.23 inches End to End.

Can you comment on the color fastness properties of polyester between mass coloration using solvent dye and conventional dyeing. It is a fact that mass coloration done using pigment have excellent overall color fastness. But what I am not sure is if mass coloration using solvent dye will also have better color fastness compared to conventional dyeing. From my experience, solvent dye is used a lot in tandem with pigments in mass coloration of polyester. Without using solvent dye, the market for polyester mass coloration will shrink a lot because pigment alone is not capable of matching many colors required by the market. Therefore, I would really like to know how does mass coloration that contains solvent dye in comparison with conventional dyeing. Thank you!

Hi, Thanks for your valuable comments. Actually in mass coloration, the color becomes a part of the polyester fiber, hence it exhibits excellent color fastness properties, when compared to conventionally dyed polyester. Even then mass colored yarns are very seldom used, means having very less market share, because of its minimum order qty issues, in general it requires minimum 5 to tons order qty for non regular shades, other than black and navy. As far as I know, currently more than 50 shades are available in the market in mass colored yarns, which can satisfy the customer needs, but MOQ plays a major role here. Thank you.
