I have just won the WTC in 2025 with SA. Hermann is brilliant opener and Beyers Swanpoel is another useful allrounder. I didnt stick to the transformation targets around Black players (average of 6 over the year i believe) which would make it really hard.

Might need to look at who they are playing against with the first class stats. They have that two tier system with some really bad teams.

Zwane in the game was playing for Limpopo which is a 2nd tier first class team. He should not even be close to being picked for the national team.

Shame about the final, but India are tough. Great job getting there. Are the weather impacts too advantageous for bowling? Have they not tried to swing a wet ball? Doesn’t happen, just skids on. You aren’t comfortable hitting your delivery stride either.

Congrats on winning world cup? I guess lol. Obviously they respond better to the more relaxed atmosphere encouraged by the white ball coaches. All this “What the hell were you doing, and I give up” business has not worked as a motivational strategy.

Just as an fyi. Trying a domestic team save with Barbados. Seven of my players decided they don’t like this first class stuff and headed off to various t20 comps around the world. A miracle you did as well as you did with the national team.

Surprised Ryan Rickleton hasn’t been as good as what he should be. Markram should be thrown the ball for 2 or 3 overs here & there in all formats. Consider young leg spinner Peter for limited overs matches, potentially to come in for Maharaj when he hangs up the boots.

Id really reccomend bowling the odd part timer on low aggression, especially when you just cant break the partnership, worth looking at your batters FC stats to see who is a handy bowler to chuck on for a couple overs, i find it often ends up with the elusive wicket

Pretty basic really, for these big rebuilds I just record myself playing the game and then use the stats pack to help with selections and historical stats etc If I do a single club rebuild eg like Lancashire I would select to play one format so the ai plays the other formats

That first test win over Sri Lanka was even more impressive. You had me talking to my iPad. “But wait”. You played on a spinners deck, not seamers. Made them feel all comfy, so a great win. First trophy of many and a shot at the test championship. Good times.
