Stupid question, but what do you use to glue them when they have primer on the joints
@adrienkentart6 күн бұрын
If you're painting in sub assembly and you have undercoated or painted over the joining parts then you will need to scrap off a little of the paint where it will join and use super glue. My advise though is to assemble everything and paint it like that. If your brush can't get to it, it's not worth painting! :)
@sailorpete14576 күн бұрын
@adrienkentart thanks for the reply. I thought of maybe having some sticky tacky over the joints before priming. But yeah I agree for the mostpart, but for these harlequins it might be worth it with the sub assembly, though I've never bothered with it before.
@adrienkentartКүн бұрын
@@sailorpete1457 Yeah mate the tack over the joints is the way to go with the priming if you're going to sub assembly. :)

The colours should pop up at the beginning of each painting section top right hand corner (full paint list at the beginning and end of the video). The video on Krondys has me explain the process if you want some further insights into the approach although with blue greys instead of neutral greys. :)

Stunning. I much prefer a cleaner look on harlequin infantry, doing away with the diamond motley and saving that to use sparingly on the vehicles instead. This is by far the most stunning use of a clean harlequin colour scheme that I've seen though, so well executed 👌🏻 amazing work man, I'm in awe 😮

Yeah mate the paint list is at the beginning of the video should be 5 secs in (unfortunately the older videos don't have the paints separated by brand which I fix for later videos to current but the brands I used are GW, Vallejo and Army Painter for that list). I always have the paint list at the beginning and end of every video. Some of the older videos it's just at the beginning but they're always there. If you have any troubles with the scheme I have many more videos on the channel that tackle this scheme in more detail. If you get stuck let me know and I'll do my best to help no worries! :)

How did you do the awesome dead skin?
@adrienkentart3 ай бұрын
The skin was using the same colours I used on my pale vamp skin tutorial. So Vallejo Cold Grey (or similar), GW Ionrach Skin, white, Army Painter Grimoire purple, GW Carroburg Crimson, GW Druchii Violet, Drakenhop Nightshade and GW Lahmian medium to dilute the shades for the glazing steps (in the tutorial I use water to thin the shades but Lahmian medium is better as it wont break down the pigments which can happen leaving a white residue but you can use water but just be careful with it). You end up with a grey/green coloured flesh tone with hints of red/purple/blue. Hope this helps mate! Here's the link to the Vamp Tutorial :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4OzkHxqosycoZY

what brown and green glaze colours are you using Mr. Kent?
@adrienkentart3 ай бұрын
I use Seraphim Sepia and Biel-Tan Green shades from GW using Lahmian Medium to dilute it as my glazes. Basically put a blob of each on the palette with a bit of space between and a couple of blobs of the medium and then you can drag them into the medium to get different mixes of the colours and then use them into the bones to age them down. I find this great for control as you can adjust dilution and the colour at the same time (getting a bit more of a green-brown colour). I also use this process to tint the bases after doing the grey colours to give it a bit of life and colour. Hope this helps mate! :)

Hello ! Incredible work as usual, congratz ! Do you remember what recipe you used for the dagger ?
@adrienkentart3 ай бұрын
Thanks mate! Yeah it's been a while since I painted her but the dagger definitely used Army Painter Kraken Skin and I think I just added black to it for the darker sections as a base blending up through Kraken then into mixing white for highlights on the edge of the blade. If you want a bit more saturation add some dark blue into the base or turquoise for a more blue green base like the turquoise in her clothing. Hope that helps mate! :)

Thanks so much for the kind words mate! So I can't quite remember what I used I was experimenting but I put turquoise in the mid tones. This one is part of the Underworlds warband from a few seasons ago. Unfortunately you can't get them from GW anymore so you would have to look up stockists to see if they have any left. Not sure of its name though.

Your painting and presentation is very nice but for a novice painter like myself, it would be very beneficial to me and probably other beginner painters if you would say what color paints you are using during the painting process.

Thanks for the feed back! I do try to say what I'm doing in my tutorial videos but maybe not specific enough so I'll take that into consideration for the future. These 'Vlog' and 'In the Hobby' videos are more discussion based so I don't usually have the descriptions of what I'm doing at each stage (except for the paint names in the top right hand corner of the screen). I leave that for the 'How to Paint' and 'Hobby Tips' videos. Thanks again for the feed back. :)

Thank you for the amazing video! I’ve just started my Custodes army after seeing this colour scheme. What ratio roughly would you dilute your glazes to? That’s the part I find most challenging for me currently
@adrienkentart5 ай бұрын
So you're looking at 3 parts (or even closer to 2 parts depending on the colour) shade to 1 part medium for general washes (Nuln Oil and Sepia) and for the glazing steps (colour shades) 3 parts medium to 1 part shade colour. This should get you close. If you still have trouble let me know and I can do a video on it in real time to show how to dilute and apply the shades no worries. :)
