Jeeeeeeezus this show was so entertaining. This ensemble is unreal. They fill the space so well. Gorgeous tuning. Mature approach. Controlled energy. Everything you’d expect from this staff and its selection of players. Wow. Wow. Wow.

Percussion doesn’t need us winds. I play mellophone, and even I agree with this. Winds need percussion, but it’ll never be vice versa. Also, my marching band has a lot of visuals that are super tiring, so I can’t even imagine what this is like for battery (what we call marching perc). This year batter doesn’t have many visuals because not only is this a high school marching band, but also, it’s a *high school* marching band.

@@fademacaw2552 nah, hard disagree. Without brass the shows would still be cool, but they wouldn't have the same emotional impact at all.

Oh yeah, the power and force of percussion. It was especially nice to watch the hammered keyboards work their magic close-up. Well done Bluecoats. This is a show that will go down in drum corps history. Keep innovating. Change is everything!

actually a show of its own. the show is written really well and has a high demand of the performers, and they do a great job of playing the book. the way their attacks are so crisp together both visually and audibly. the dynamic range of the drumline, especially the quiet/soft part was pulled off so tastefully. the pit is super locked into the pocket and it really helps paint the sonic picture clearly. so cool!!!
