Interesting and quite far reaching speech. The rise of crypto-currencies, both decentralized and centralized are bound to disrupt the power balances between nations if not within nations. I wonder what Kindleberger would have said about them and the race between China and the US yo come up with the best one, right after the Covid19 crisis... Any thought on the matter?

It's sad that here in the U.S. we are making the choice to allow short term profit , and greed to diminish the quality of our children (and their children's) lives. We are a great country and we do not have to continue to follow this path!

This is what we have to do now and Britain, under a Labour government can lead the world on this. It is our duty to do so.

Any person with a basic knowledge in economics, after reading the Green New Deal, cannot help but to think that that waste od worst was written by a stupid ignorant.

Every country has different environmental needs. Is this addressed? Or is it one size fits all?
