could you please explain more about the extra luggage and fees they charge for larger luggage? Usually, international travel allows two large pieces of luggage so what is the process of having it "shipped" to Makkah, Madinah, or Jeddah if you are only allowed one small-size carry-on?

salam brother so alhamdulilah I just got back from umrah. my first time and what a blessing. now am confused. With hajj how does it work to book with an agent with packages? back in the day, one just goes to an agency and u choose the package. so where is the agent factored in if i will be on nusuk looking for packages myself instead of the agency?

Thanks for this Haris. I'm going for Umrah in 2 months from UK and downloaded the Nusuk app but it asks me for my nationality, Passport number and then Visa number. But I don't plan on getting the evisa for another month as I want to get the maximum 12 months as I plan on multiple visits. Rawdah slots opened up for Feb so i want to book and not lose out but not keen on paying for a visa yet

Salam! Most welcome and MashaAllah! May Allah SWT make your journey easy and accept your Umrah. Do not worry for Umrah permit, nowadays they don't ask for it so you will be fine. For Rawdah Mubarak permits, new update is comin in Feb, I will have a video up soon. But you can finish your Nusuk account once you get your visa in Saudi, and you will be fine. that was happening to my parents too, both owners of android. works perfectly fine on ios devices from my experience. you could ask to use someone’s iphone and create an account on it and then log into it on your own phone afterwards

Salam! A new update is coming for Rawdah Mubarak permits in Feb, that is most likely why its not working. If you are from any Western country, just speak with the brothers at the Rawdah permit line and explain that you are from America (or elsewhere) and that you travelled from very far. Its a hit or miss but some of them will feel bad and allow you to go. But don't be too pushy because they get upset. WSalam brother! Are you currently in Saudia? Also is this your first time visiting the Noble Rawdah? Just keep checking in meantime, sometimes slots are filled so nothing is available but InshaAllah more slots will appear

I have an update. From what I have researched no Umrah permit is required if you get an evisa.

Salam! As of now, umrah permit is not mandatory, you can easily perform umrah as long as you are in Ihram. You will not face any difficulties at all, Insha-Allah. But keep in mind, in order to visit Noble Rawdah in Masjid Nabawi, you will need a permit. The OTP is hit or miss, usually it doesn’t work too well unless you are in Saudi Arabia currently

Salaam. Doing Umrah on your own is the BEST option, no contest. You run your own budget, and you perform at your own pace. Yet, for Hajj, this is not just a matter of booking airfare and hotel rooms: you need to be able to manage all the steps of the pilgrimage, notably getting to Mina/Muzdalifah/Arafat... in a crowd of nearly 3 million people. While Hajj prices (from North America) are insane, doing it in a group is safer and will prevent logistic headaches. Please keep in mind that this is not some business trip, you WANT Allah to accept your Hajj.

Salam! InshaAllah you will have no problems as Nusuk permit is not really required any longer. Please ensure you have your visa or you can get visa on arrival once you land. From there it’s very easy, just get a taxi to your Makkah hotel, check in and then go straight to Masjid Al Haram for Umrah. Guards let anyone in who is in Ihraam for Umrah, InshaAllah it will be no problem.

I wanted to let you also know that my wife and I were in Saudi for Umrah mid November and stayed at the Jabal Omar Marriott which based on your recommendation is really a very nice hotel with good rooms as well as service. We enjoyed our short golf cart rides back and forth to the Haram.

I performed Hajj this year used NUSUK app and by the grace of Allah i visited Rawdah. I am going to do Umrah in end of Dec 2024. Do i use the Nusuk which i used for Hajj or install new app. Just checked for Rawdah but no dates available calendar is blank message comes no dates available for Dec. Can you please look into this. MashaAllah! Yes you can use Nusuk App and best thing to do is use app when in Saudi, you should be able to see dates and can get appointment for same day. Please keep in mind that you cannot schedule another Rawdah Mubarak appt for 365 days so it is possible that since you went during Hajj, they will not allow you to book another Rawdah Mubarak appt until next year

Walaikumsalam! Yes if you are a citizen of EU countries, US and/or Canada (along with many other countries), you can qualify for Tourist Visa on arrival (you can perform Umrah with this visa and it is valid for 1 year, multiple entries)
