An unfortunate incident, but at least one of the chicks survived. The caring affection between the Mother Bird and the remaining baby bird is heartwarming. Also, this video contains a nice rustic setting. Well done! 🐦🌳

There is no such "affection". Only instinct. They don't feel emotions like mammals, they're more like lizards in behavior.

It seems like bird’s brain does not process anything more than like 5 mins ago. The mother bird flew away when it sensed the raccoon yet repeatedly comes back with food for her chicks.

I once saw a video where a raccoon raided a robin nest at night, and it ambushed and ate the female robin sitting on the nest. She was screeching frantically as it grabbed her and took her away, it was like something out of a horror movie.

Love that video

Would it also be like a horror movie when the robins are seen being fed live worms and insects?

Black bear do not pose a threat to humans unless you truly mess with them or get near their cubs.
@ccasey19042 жыл бұрын
The correct answer, David, is that black bears USUALLY do not attack people. There have been a few cases, several in New Jersey, for some reason, where they did attack. After all, black bears ARE wild animals,

Tough love for the Bear? Bears do have to learn to be afraid of people for their own good, but best to leave them alone. Way too many killed trees for the firewood, however.
@backyardwildlifefairfieldCT2 жыл бұрын
None of that firewood is from "killed trees". All are from dead trees or trees fallen in storms.

@@grigorirasputin5020 I have heated my homes with wood stoves for 50 years both in the mountain up North and here in FL, I wish I had all the money I have saved, but more importantly, I love the heat, in the morning the back bedrooms cool way down which is how I like to sleep, but in the living room it will still be 70, after filling the stove wood, after taking my shower the house is nice and toasty again. To me, it's a wonderful way of life and that man's stash of firewood is like having a ton of money in the bank!
