L.F.S. poster is misinforming people for the definition of Arctic. he said: "To be considered Arctic 3 conditions must be verified. 1. Must be above Arctic Circle 66 N and Churchill is at 58 N 2. Must not have any trees, at most bushes and Churchill has small trees 3. Average temperature of the warmest month must be below 10C" NOT TRUE: Not true buddy. only 1. applies today. 2. there are large trees in Canada and Russia at 69 / 73 degrees, 3. Is laughable nowadays - INUVIK clearly in the Arctic by the Arctic ocean avg mean july / 2021 was 16.3 C. (avg max / min was 21.8 / 10.9). There are dozens of places that blatantly exceed your criterion #3 clearly in the Arctic. In fact, EUREKA, nu, canada at 80 degrees latitude crushes your idea at exactly 10 C July/2020 daily average mean. the station broke six daily temperature records. Three of those were for the highest maximum temperature, 18 C on July 12, 19.5 C on July 26 and 18.5 C on July 27. While not a record itself, Eureka’s 18.5 C high on July 25 was warmer than the 16.7 C recorded the same day in Victoria, British Columbia. The other three records at the Eureka Weather Station were for the highest minimum temperatures, 9.8 C on July 21, 9.4 C on July 24 and 7.6 C on July 25.

Awesome! Show those bears they have no reason to fear us so that they come to our residential areas and kill someone so that we have to go and kill them. Dumb people. If you want to help save these beautiful creatures, give them a reason to want to stay away from us.

0:12 No you are NOT definitely in the Arctic. To be considered Arctic 3 conditions must be verified. 1. Must be above Arctic Circle 66 N and Churchill is at 58 N 2. Must not have any trees, at most bushes and Churchill has small trees 3. Average temperature of the warmest month must be below 10C and Churchill warmest month is July with Min 7 Max 18 which means average 13C So, Churchill fails all three conditions and therefore it is NOT definitely Arctic.

You do that, they grab you and you're history. Notice at 2:44 how when the polar bear is reaching up, the crowd shifts towards the opposite direction. I'm sure the tour guide warned them about this well in advance before they took off on the tour. There was this Steve Irwin competitor, can't remember his name, who was pretty crazy too screwing around with dangerous animals. He did a show on polar bears on one of these tours and even he wasn't crazy enough to reach out and touch the polar bear paw when the bear was trying to reach for him through the window. I recall him saying something along the lines that as tempting as it seemed to touch that paw to pet it, he wasn't going to risk it because if the polar bear got a good grasp on his hand, he could easily pull him out through the tiny window, kill him and eat him. Again, this guys was just as crazy as Steve Irwin was but even he dared not touch a polar bear! That said a lot.

Ashley Pittman, what you heard about polar bears depredating humans is a common rumor, but the data shows it is also very false. Since 1780 they have killed only 20 people in North America, a majority of them who were trying to shoot the bears, or had already shot them. This is not the profile of a man eater.

@@marcoAKAjoe You get the award for moronic statement of the year. "Go pet one then" does not refute the information I gave you. There is a huge difference between an animal posing little threat to people, and one that tolerates a potentially dangerous intrusion on its personal space. You are as fucking stupid as they come.

@@Nagy50Magyar A polar bear will hunt you in the wild if It sees the opportunity. It is a man-eater and there is satisfactory scientific evidence backing it.
@Nagy50Magyar3 жыл бұрын
@@ibrahimkayikci2146 Oh, really? Is that why since 1870 they have killed only 20 people, including two in Churchill, Manitoba, where they freely roam the streets, and where thousands of tourists come every year to gawk at them? Obviously, you are not even aware that polar bears quickly fall into bad health if they do not eat meat rich in blubber. We are not even on their menu, unless they are starving, and in that situation humans even eat each other, Vast volumes can be filled with what you do not know, but you are arrogant enough to lecture me. I prefer to hear no more of your nonsense.
